I honestly can't tell! All I know for certain is that I'm buying the shit out of Rising.

While they are at it, I hope they pull the camera just a little bit further. That alone can fix many issues. If not, I hope someone can mod a camera fix or fov increase.

YES! Not that my current laptop can handle it, but whenever I get a capable comp, I can finally play this amazing piece of art at a real 60FPS, 1080p.

Also please port Vanquish too. It's a game pretty much made for the PC.

Yeah, the first MGS I ever played was on PC actually. It was either MGS1 or VR Missions.

I gave up on consoles after PS2, so I've only played them up to Snake Eater and I'd rather have seen MGS4, but I'll take what I can get.
It was the same game, actually. The PC version was Metal Gear Solid Integral, which included both the main game and the VR Missions.

It was incredible.

Cool news, though I'd hope that eventually all the mainline MGS games also make it (or get re-released) onto PC. I'd like to try to get into that MGS stuff for real.

I'd only double dip for the following reasons:

1) My laptop can run it
2) If it's well priced (i.e not $40+)
3) If it contains all the DLC released so far on the consoles as well as the pre-order skins

Otherwise, I probably won't double dip as there's other games I need to buy this summer.

Hey, Konami! Why don't you bring ALL MGSes to PC? Giving them a proper resolutions support and all.

They're probably planning to do so. It will be amazing, first Fromsoftware, now Platinum Games and hopefully Kojima Productions soon with MGSV and the HD collection.

How was the concensus on it? I completely missed the game.
INCREDIBLE. Rising is definitely the best-playing game of the year so far. BioShock Infinite and Fire Emblem Awakening might get the nod for overall best experience, but in terms of raw moment-to-moment action and empowerment and mind-melting "holy shit I just threw a Metal Gear and ran up his arm mid-air" moments, nothing comes close to Rising.

To the guy above, I dug the stealth aspects, too. Something incredibly satisfying about running up behind an enemy cyborg unheard -- you don't even have to tip-toe -- and just plowing through his back with a sword before hacking him to bits of confetti and ripping out his spine.

This is great news. I played Bayonetta on my Xbox and enjoyed it, but I don't play on consoles very much, so I'll be glad to have this available on PC. Hopefully we'll get more of the Metal Gear games in the future.

It's a really good action game that has some weird design choices. Like the stealth mechanic. But overall everyone seems to really like it.

I hope it doesn't prove too hard for people to mod.

You underestimate the modding community at your own peril, partyphone.

Some stuff they did for RE6 (a much more admittedly mediocre game that shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as MG:RR) were just.... wow.

Also, this is kinda ironic, but Raiden and Jet Stream Sam have already been brought over to the PC well before this announcement lol. As fully playable mods. For SFxTK. They look awesome.

Unless it's shit like Anarchy Reigns or Madworld.
:O

Anarchy Reigns is AMAZING... provided you can find people to play with online.

Seriously, hosting 16-player free-for-alls and hunting down stragglers across massive levels with my main Big Bull is just... *dreamy sigh* It's just heavenly.

Highly overrated in my opinion.
It's good but there's not much to it.
It's the second coming of Christ for GAF, though.

Rising's really good. If you haven't played it, I really suggest you do with this PC release. It feels good to play it, you'll be completely satisfied when you play it in a sitting. And then when you stop playing, you'll get a craving to play more anyway because it's just that good.
