Okay. Why are quite a few people against Dyack? What's wrong with him?
The hate is flowing. Never BELIEVE the GAF.

It's like people have been living under a rock.
Okay. Why are quite a few people against Dyack? What's wrong with him? I'm just curious is all.
Absolutely not and if I were on Steam, I'd happily vote yes.
Iit's a damn shame that when it seems we're finally close to getting a sequel (of sorts) to ED, people can't see past their blind hatred for Dyack.
That's the thing.
The main argument is "because Dyack" and that is so utterly ridiculous it makes me sick.
I want a a successor to this:
Is that so wrong?
Exactly. There's no reason to downvote except to be petty.I'm not supporting their Kickstarter, but if the game is made and it turns that it's good why wouldn't I want it on Steam? I have nothing to lose => FOR!
Anyone got a real answer?
As Confucius once said, the photoshop cat juggles a ball of yarn, and unravels it all over his face. You are Baldur, Denis. Youre the poorly animated bald Norse technogod, the Übermensch with a thousand pointless book references misunderstood by the dirty proles who arent worthy enough to judge you.
Your favorite Nietzsche quote, he who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster, is one youve fallen victim to yourself, if your opinion of this site is to be taken to heart. In these pitiable confrontations with us youve proven to be the monster of gaming development, a sore on the industry and a squanderer of your subordinates time and effort. Through all this, through this self-inflicted PR nightmare, youve conquered vast new frontiers of unwarranted hyperbole and desperate pseudo-intellectual grasping. Buy an unaccredited doctorate, change your given name to Derek, and take up the reins; Derek Smart would eagerly defer to the greatness of Dr. Dyack.
What is an appropriate action to take in response to the man who continues to post here? I wont be tolerating a second retconned social experiment, a second call for NeoGAFs closing, or a second worst forum insult. You decided to ignore the option for real terms for your pointless tag bet, so with the majority of reviews condemning your magnum opus to mediocrity Ill claim a suitable prize by telling you to get the hell off NeoGAF.
Bahahah I like it.Thanks. Just downvoted it.
How early in development can I post my game?
There are two categories in Steam Greenlight: One for mostly-finished games seeking distribution via Steam and one for early builds and concepts that are simply seeking feedback from the community. You can choose the right category for your title when you post.

Am I the only one noticing that they're on greenlight with a game that's not done? The idea of greenlight, according to the submission guidelines, is that you put up a game at or near completion... And here they have a game they basically haven't developed yet. What the fuck?
From Steam submission guidelines:
It was a single episode?!?Wow. Kickstarter, their own crowd funding page, and this? I still don't think it will come out though. Not for 1.5 million for just 1 episode.
Exactly. There's no reason to downvote except to be petty.
Of course they are. Steam provides official icons and linking for things like Kickstarter, Twitter, and other external sites the developers are on.Are they allowed to advertise for their Kickstarter project on the Steam Green light page?
Nah, it's the second category. It's a concept and they want feedback. The real reason though is to get some spotlight on greenlight because their KS isn't doing good right now.
What if I think the game looks terrible?
No, this game is listed in the "games" tab, not the "concepts" tab. the concepts tab is for games that are unfinished. The games tab is the real greenlight for finished games and that's where this is listed.
Actual taltented and cool people with actual lives, families and mortages work at Precursor. Grow the fuck up, GAF. I'm embarrased to be a part of this community at times.

I'm pretty sure a downvote isn't going to ruin them.

1) What reason do you have to believe this game will be completed successfully?
2) What reason do you have to believe this game will live up to Eternal Darkness (or the fond memories thereof)?
It seems like the default position should be one of extreme skepticism.

It's probably not going to meet its funding goal anyways.

Yeah, this is not a legal greenlight listing.
Greenlight guidelines state that greenlight is for games that are complete and ready to go. This is a game that's not even made yet and seeking funding.
You can see here that the game is found in the regular games area, NOT the concepts area where it belongs. This is not a valid greenlight and it's simply there to exploit and market.
