not necessarily. Computers have blue USB 3.0 ports just to distinguish them from USB 2.0 ports. If this has only USB 3.0, there is no need to use colours.

Yeah if it does you need to be able to turn it off. I hope they do have a notification light, it kind of seems like a no brainier if it is 'always online' in sleep mode. Thinking about it, the Wii was actually ahead of the game in that respect.

If we forget the detailing, and look at the basic shape, it might be similar. But more square. I think the curve around the back could be correct, rather than on a perpendicular side. Not sure if it'll slant or curve forward. A simple square slab with a curved back might be on the money.

The vents are the main thing wrong with it. The two pics it shows are two different vents, and the large two-tier vents will probably not be in the front of the console.

colors are off too I think, and it doesn't feature any signs of all the gaps and ridges we've seen.

That curve may be a smaller detail than it looks, everything else seems to be a super close up.

I actually think this is going to be very close to the final design.
Not necessarily. You're looking at a blurred generic shape, you see it but can't see it properly. Just like the close-up images, you're looking at the console but you can't see it properly. The square in the background could simply be considered a symbol of that mystery.

The only think I am not sure of is that circular fan thing. I don't know if there will be for certain a curved edge. The upper right hand corner could just be more plastic and the "fan" is set back into it. Or maybe it's more obvious when not looking at it on a phone.
I hope not, that mockup looks terrible.

There's several things wrong with that. Colours, spacing, shape etc. For a start it needs to be square instead of rectangular.

Nice work. As for Sony's touch, I don't think that will look anything like it.
Don't have a picture right now, but over the last couple days, game shops in the UK got through new posters from Sony featuring the DualShock 4 and some games that also feature a prominent thin blue line down the middle - would match up with the hint at the end of the video about an LED strip, if not just a marketing thing.

Pretty cool. I expect the light grey section to be acrylic glass like. If they got some sort of light emitting display under it, that would be amazing.
You should change the light grey segments on the left to reflective black, and leave the strip running down the middle light grey. Also add a blue light in-between the main ridge, and you might be fairly close.
