No. Through Gaikai streaming it will be able to though.

With Half Life 3 as a launch title. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if Sony approached Gabe and Valve again since they are trying to court developers. I could actually see Sony approaching Valve to get Left 4 Dead on their platform. We saw it with Portal 2.

I wonder why people think its going to be exclusive to the XBone.

I think this because MS seems to be throwqing all of their eggs in the baskets labeled US and UK for this upcoming generation. Fallout is one of the those franchises that I'm sure Bethesda wouldn't mind making exclusive (at least timed) for some dosh if MS pays out. Elder Scrolls however, is a franchise Bethesda wouldn't make exclusive for anyone. That profit potential is too great going multiplat.

1)MS will gain timed exclusive DLC again.
2)They'll debut it on MS's stage.

I hope there is less of that this generation. I think paying for timed exclusivity is such a douchey thing to do. It says we don't have enough 1st party studios under our umbrella so we're just going to money hat everyone else.

Guys I don't think PS+ would be available for the PS4 day one.

Maybe they wont offer games but they sure can offer other features/ services they have up their sleeves. Like I said in another thread, I think they'll keep Live Streaming exclusive to those who have PS+ and the other features like short clips saves and screenshots free for everyone.

Whatever the service transforms into will be on PS4 day 1, even if it is just discounts, cloud saves and the like.

I'd hope so. It would show that Sony has learned from its mistakes with the vita.

BTW IMO, cloud saves should not be tied to a subscription.

It's probably just timed exclusive DLC but the rumor came up from GiantBomb and people ran with it.

One of the things im most curious about when it comes to some games, especially those from Bethsoft, is if Sony, or MS are going to allow mods on the PS4/Xbone. Im not sure how it would work to be honest since some mods for Skyrim can cripple many very capable PCs out there, but it would imo be very cool to see the consoles finally be able to get Mods for Beths games.

It does not help that Beth releases broken games in general anyway, and the community is usually who fixes the issues. Its something that I could see Sony allowing, but im not convinced MS would unless they have changed their XBL policies quite abit.

I understand this sentiment, but honestly I have the feeling that Bungie will come out and show that Destiny, while being a FPS by default, is everything but just "another shooter". They've been talking about some really neat stuff when it comes to persistent, open, connected gameplay, and have been touting the phrase "shared-world shooter". Again, it's all talk until we see something solid, but I'm holding out hope that it will be something we all aren't quite expecting.

I wouldn't be surprised if they showed us things that will truly redefine the FPS genre. If anybody can do it, it's Bungie, that's for certain.

One of the things im most curious about when it comes to some games, especially those from Bethsoft, is if Sony, or MS are going to allow mods on the PS4/Xbone. Im not sure how it would work to be honest since some mods for Skyrim can cripple many very capable PCs out there, but it would imo be very cool to see the consoles finally be able to get Mods for Beths games.

We might get the Unreal Tournament debacle all over again. A new Unreal Tournament timed exclusive release on PS4 with modding but delayed on Xbox One because their console is closed.

Yea, they did say they have specific hardware built into the PS4 for remote play and that latency was reduced, but if the low latency was as good as the Wii U, I think they would have stressed it more. Also, unrelated but, I wish your iPhone 5 was a newer model that supported tmobile bands. I would've PMd in a heart beat, what a deal!

You are probably right. They show splitscreen gameplay and when they switch positions, the screens change positions on the big tv because of the light bar detecting their controller position.

I don't believe there's been any official confirmation or denial on that front except for PS3 games.

I would not be surprised to see PS2 be BC on the PS4...it has enough bandwidth and power to handle emulation perfectly.

Here's hoping Destiny actually redefines FPS games.

On a different albeit slightly unrelated topic (I don't know where to post), I've been hearing about PS4 running games at 1080p30fps. I'm not tech savvy at all and google cannot give me an answer. Now the question;

From almost all discussions about fps on gaming forums the standards are always in 30fps increments (30, 60, 120) why is it so? can't PS4 deves target something like 40fps or 45 or even 50? Must it be locked at 30? How about 35?
