Well, if you've read the previews and interviews then you kind of know where the game begins. From there you might be able to imagine what they'd do to kick it off.

My totally baseless hypothesis:

It involves Joel's family being attacked by the infected, maybe his daughter because in the E3 demonstration it is strongly alluded through the dialogue that Joel had a family. You are thrown into a helpless situation that you cannot control and the game picks up in present day after the title card. Again, I have no actual insight on the real introduction, just a guess.

I haven't read any previews. I imagine it starts pre pandemic and you witness the outbreak, but how they pull that off I have idea.

Ahh, okay. Probably best to keep it that way then. And you probably better skip the reviews since they may give the basic story setup, which would include where it all begins since that's something that ND has talked about for quite some time.

Evidently ND have been VERY strict on what reviewers can mention so I don't think anything much would be given away.

Yeah that's what I heard too. The whole
tutorial is you basically killing your family because they're infected.

Seems feasible to me.

Both. With the concept, visuals, and what we know of the game so far, there's still some things I expect to be included in the game to actually give it more value as opposed to just delivering a one-time experience. To me, it's like a hybrid of MGS3 and RE4. They offer different methods of approach not limited to just one difficulty/playthrough, it's great.

I'm a billion fold more excited for this than the entire Uncharted series combined. Happy to see Naughty Dog flexing a bit more muscle.

Truth. The whole idea and theme really resonates with my tastes. Dark gritty and mature.

I was never a fan of Indiana Jones or that style of one liner shitty jokes so Uncharted bugged me sometimes. I still love Uncharted 2 though and think it's an excellent game

I'm going with 97 after a tense period where it looks like it will end at 98.

I'm still not sure if I will even like this game, just going by the sort of...subdued media hype and talk so far. I should probably check out the demo.
