Why do you say that? The point of doing this is to let the press get a hands on look at whatever they brought with them. Since SE doesn't have their own press conference, this is probably supposed to be a replacement of sorts.

I don't get that about Square Enix. Why don't they let the fans, which are also the ones who pay, see the game?!.

E3 is generally a press only event and these kinds of events aren't uncommon. I wouldn't worry at all though since the people who are going to be at the event are gonna tell us what they saw anyway....

As for me I'm only hyped up for FFAgito (type-0?) on vita(need to get one though) or PS3.

I'll play XV/vsXIII, but my faith in Nomura is scarce to say the least.


I'd love to be surprised with SQEX with US/European DQX or some cool new project on IPs like TWEWY/Chrono etc but I know It's either not gonna happen or suck.

X-2 is actually pretty acclaimed for its battle system isn't it? Everything else though.....

The point of the posts is that we like everything in the game and I personally took everything for what it was. I wasn't disappointed with it and I didn't compare it to FFX. Regardless of whether it's a sequel or spin off, each FF game is a 'new' game to me.

Regardless of whether it's a sequel or spin off, each FF game is a 'new' game to me.

I tend to look at things the same way which is why I am excited for XV and even LRXIII. I just mentioned the battle system since you mentioned being one of the few that liked X-2 but I always see people raving about that system but only the battle system.

To me moving vsXIII dev to PS4 is such a lazy move, gonna look like it should have on PS3, higher res, some fancy shaders, a couple next gen gimmicks. All in all, unoptimised code running at a better framerate on a the powerhouse that is the PS4 compared to the PS3.

After disappointments and disasters, I can safely say that I'm not hyped for anything that they could possible offer me.

It's not a "private event", it's a PRESS event. The press will report on what Square Enix shows & talks about during this event, while we'll probably have already seen at least some stuff prior to the event at the console manufacturers' press conferences. They'll just go more in-depth with these games than they can at the probable conference showings (which will most likely just be "hi, we are dudes from SQEX and have been working hard on game X, the idea behind the game is blaablaablaa, and now, a trailer" and not much else)

I really hated the battle system in X-2. What really pissed me off was the fact that you were able to MISS special dress spheres. I finished the game and never actually found Payne's special dress sphere.
I honestly think XIII had the best battle system but that's just my personal preference.
