It could impact their relationship, but it seems like the games will still come out at the same time on both platforms. The PS4 version will just be announced at a later time. I don't really think that it's that big of deal at the end of the day because of tat.

There was a patent that was filed that detailed an offline DRM solution that involved the disc being registered to the system when you put it in or something like that. Someone can probably link it to you if they can find it.

Sony should just announce all the games that are multiplatform but which pubs did not confirm at their conference. Basically undermine everything MS has done.

hmmm i guess that makes sense. not happy about that but given the choice between that and 24 hour check ins i think i'd opt for the offline DRM solution

That would be hilarious. It's not like the publishers are obligating Sony to prevent them from mentioning their games in the conference. It'd be almost free marketing for them.

Man, that's disappointing. Guess I'll have to watch a stream online. My PC is pretty damn old though. Would have been awesome to watch this in HD on Spike.

Sony has actually done this before. When MS originally announced Metal Gear Rising and pretended it was "theirs", a journalist asked Tretton about it and he was like "You can read between the lines and know what's really going on". Pretty much outright confirmed the PS3 version without Konami having to say anything.

Do you guys think Sony will mention any media stuff tomorrow? There was that insider that said PS+ benefits might also have entertainment things with it.

I hope so. I seem to be one of the few that considers console media capabilities to be a major selling point, for me at least.

I'm still hoping for a console Medievil and Syphon Filter :( It's been multiple generations now, and I think both titles would make excellent additions to Sony's console portfolio.

If they do reveal "PlayStation World" or whatever, we'll probably get a small rundown of new additions to PS+ and such.

Would love that, the bigger mix of game styles the better, even if it's not just at E3. I liked hearing Yoshida talk about a bigger push for all types of games.

Not complaining mind. ND is about to release another ground breaking game, and I'm genuinely appreciate to their team for that. Especially pushing a new IP so late in the game.

If you're looking forward to GoW:A DLC, your wishes will definitely be granted. I don't think you're going to see a new game from SSM this year because of that.

Seems like it's going to be difficult to get anything major out of Sony's powerhouse studios (ND, SSM, Guerrilla) this year - you'll have to look to some of their second parties and less-known studios for top-secret megatons.
