It's weird how the people hoping for a RAM downgrade were the ones saying there wasn't going to be much of a difference between games anyways when it was (and still in all likelihood is) 8GB GDDR5.

People are blowing any possible downgrade way out of proportion, the difference won't be that big and might save Sony some money in the long run.

I don't think it's that simple, but what if it's just an official confirmation of 7GB available to games only?

It's not entirely insensible, considering Sony has touted the '8GB' line as if it's the entire available resource usable, whereas we're all fully aware that it's not that simple due to the OS actually needing RAM resources as well.

It doesn't sound like it could be something negative but more like they discovered something juicy. the use of the word "drama" in spanish doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing, just that things are very interesting.

In Spain a drama is something sad, something that may you make cry.

Hoo boy. Wonder of its anything big. My guess is just a story of how they went on to push 8GB and why. We shall see.

I would say that if Shahid said it was an emotional work day, my guess is that it might be either that Vita remote play just is too unstable therefore scrapped, or that PS+ paywall goes universal and there will be a PS Vita update that requires you to have PS+ to play online.

My guess, they can't produce enough ram to meet demand, EU and Japan launch delayed into 2014, U.S 2013 holiday as promised.

I couldn't stop from leaking this info... so I got to tell you GAF!
have you guys wondered why they said that at first games-com will be mostly be about the vita and then later said it will be mostly be about the ps4... well I'm here to tell you that the vita is the ps4 and the whole console thing was a complete russ... really do you guys think they could fit anything in that rhombus shape its completely slanted

Also the reason the Eurogamer guy said it was memory drama is because now you'll have to deal with the vita overpriced memory cards lolz

Edit: too late.... damn I always miss out on the fun

"Calm down! It's just some info about how memory works and nothing more. Nothing serious! "

Welp, time to close the thread.

This supports the idea that it's just a misunderstanding of the article about porting The Crew where they talk about the Onion and Garlic buses and the TERRIFYING 20GB/s figure comes up.

this is even more LOL since that is basically the least possible drama ever conceived for anything in world history

How do you get that from his tweets? I think he mentioned later that he was referencing a Guy Ritchie movie.

What if it's about how the memory doesn't work?

Or about how it works through the usage of mini black holes, thus likely causing the end of the world?

THERE ARE ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
