Yep. Good to know that this fact is obvious to everyone that isn't Capcom management.
I hope it wont set a precedent where all numbered or main titles of big JRPG franchises will be for tablet,smartphones and browser.And its online and includes IAP.

I had the misfortune to wake up to this announcement this morning.
What I want to do to all of Capcom's Execs:
Only Capcom could make someone go from ecstatic to pure and utter depression in less than 3 seconds. It's like as a kid, you finally wake up to getting that thing you've always wanted, then having your parents take a sledgehammer and smash it to pieces, leaving all the little pieces on floor for you to clean up.
Seriously Capcom: Go die in a fire. This is a slap in the face to anyone who grew up playing the BoF series. You clearly have forgotten what used to make the games you made great. I used to eagerly anticipate the games you used to release as a child, but now as an adult, I can be nothing but totally cynical with anything you do now. This "announcement" is an affront to everything the series used to stand for.
Capcom seriously needs to go bankrupt. At least then the IPs that they have would have a very small chance of landing in someone's hands who actually care about them. They don't deserve to be tortured like this...

This deserves a dramatic reading.
Eh, I was bummed out after I heard the announcement, but it is what it is. I'd still be willing to play it.
That's not so bad, because it's just a spinoff and it doesn't effect the main series. The reaction to BoF6 wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a numbered, mainline game. It pretty much kills any chances of ever getting a real Breath of Fire again.
Capcom might as well have just put out a press release saying "Breath of Fire is dead and it's never coming back."
