I hope PS4 gets the superior versions in every goddamn multiplat game and it results in having more sales. Make MS regret not targeting the highest end hardware.

I posted examiner title as is, if I knew better, I would have said clearly said " STAY AWAY PC GAF" but I thought people actually read the article, by first sentence you will notice that PS4/X1 are the main target of this article. live and learn I guess.

I remember some people predicting the difference between the XB1 versions and the PS4 versions of games would be a slightly lower resolution on the Xbone. (900p vs 1080p). Those predictions could ring true.
I have a preference for the PC gaming platform, but Sony is pretty great right now. Best they've been since the height of the PS2, I think.
Actually, maybe even better than then. Kutaragi always said some pretty crazy and insane shit, I think Sony's games division might have the best collective head on their shoulders since the launch of the PS1.
I feel like they're firing on all cylinders and hitting all the right notes, right now.

Unsurprising based on what we know of the GPUs, particularly if there is anything to the driver rumors, though the anonymous sources seem dubious at best. With both sides trying to generate all of this FUD I'm taking all this news with a grain of salt and trying to consider the sources. Its interesting to see multiple negative stories/rumors coming out in the last couple of days that seem to point to Ubi as the source (well one explicitly does, the other referenced "a French developer"). I'm starting to wonder if some of this is an offshoot of EA vs Ubi given EA seems more closely aligned with MS and Ubi with Sony.
Probably just too much of the conspiracy theorist in me though since its more likely to just be someone giving an honest answer to a question asked on background, and not some agenda. Though I think industry folks may find all the celebration / wailing and gnashing of teeth on the message boards entertaining every time some nugget of info gets dribbled out.

Yes it's certainly interesting that Ubi seems to be the source for a lot of these. To be honest Ubisoft could say anything they wanted about these consoles right now and neither Sony or Microsoft cold do anything, with AC4 and Watchdogs, Ubisoft are going to be selling as many next gen games as anyone this november, so the platform holder can't hurt Ubi, without significantly hurting themselves.
Yeah, that's nice, too. I'll happily get a PS4 next year when they are easily available at retail.

The hypocrisy of those getting upset at people saying the PC version will be definitive is hilarious.
One, the topic title and every quote in the article all do not specify that it's just discussing the consoles versions. Thus the reaction is exactly what should be expected.
And two, what great discussion is saying that the PC version will be definitive taking away from? The PS4 is obviously more powerful than the Xbox One and I would say that calling its version the definitive console one graphically is more of a no-brainer than saying the PC version will be the definitive one period.

Oh, I guess you don't. No, see, just because PS4 has more powerful hardware doesn't mean it will automatically get better ports. It's very possible that some devs will code for the lowest common denominator. So a PS4 port being superior to the Xbox version isn't a foregone conclusion, and therefore worth pointing out.
The PC is different. As I said earlier, PC hardware iterates at a much faster rate than consoles. It is a foregone conclusion that PC games will be more advanced than console games.

I think the reason the PC doesn't get mentioned is it's either obvious that you can get the best looking version for large $$$ or people consider sales on PC unimportant in comparison to consoles.

I doubt this very much. Even if the PS4 was more powerful why would lazy devs bother to take advantage of it? Plus it would get MS mad at them.
