Titanfall launching March 11, 2014 (PC/XB1/360 same date)

I grew up playing Doom, Quake and then Counter-Strike and I still have to agree that the couch gaming experience is much more comfortable for FPS's -- even with the castrated control options. That said I don't feel like spending 500 bucks plus 40/yr ( I won't buy it for any lower) for Live, and the fact that the 360 version is not being developed by Respawn makes me incredibly cautious about that version, especially when I've tired of every CoD since MW2 within a month of play. I prefer not to but I may have to go w/ the PC. Who knows -- maybe it'll be the best version after all?

God of war is usually a early march title iirc. No god of war next year, perfect opportunity to steal that timeframe.

This is my biggest concern, they skimp on the retail maps and then milk the shit out of the paid DLC because they know from Call of Duty that people will fall for it.

Hopefully that's not the case tho.

THIS!

Joypad makes multiplayer more even than KB/M, in no way I would play it on PC.

March is definitely a smart release date for the game. The consoles are going to have no issues selling in November and December, possibly January as well depending on how constrained supply was in those two months. And the period it's releasing in is typically a dry season for newly launched consoles, so not only does it have the possibility of being a system seller, but it's going to have little to no competition as far as the next generation of game releases are concerned.

and that statue -if your game is going to be monumental- if its this quality you say, then it might became a valuable collectable further down the line.
I suppose it will be shown better than this slide...

I'm conflicted on this game. I want to get it on PC because I know that will be the best version but I still suck at M&KB controls and this game seems even worse than Planetisde 2 in regards to enemies being able to not only use jetpacks like in that game but also to wall run and vault over stuff. I just have this feeling if I get it on PC I'm gonna get ruined. And with it being an EA game waiting for a sale where me sucking at the game won't make me feel like I'm wasting my money and piss me off seems pretty unlikely as Origin sales are fairly crap compared to Steam and Amazon.

I do have some free month of Live Gold cards from when I had to send in my 360 to MS for red ring resurrection but if I really end up liking the game then I'm stuck with the crappy Xbox 360 version which I would most likely rent and then have to buy if I fell in love with the game. I don't plan on getting an Xbone so that's not an option. I hope there is a beta for this game so I can give it a shot on PC and see how "competitive" I can be against the M&KB lifers either with a controller if the game supports it or trying to use M&KB myself before spending any money.

Nice CE although $250 is pretty damn step for a new IP since everyone is going to be jumping in for the first time. Good date too.

Seems like the 360 version was outsourced so the 360 version being the dubbed down version has been confirmed.

The game was built for the XBOX ONE so that will obviously be the best version.

Lastly, $250 for the CE version? Good lord. No thanks to that, but will get the middle version if there is one, otherwise just get the regular version.

It could be, I am sure MS is going to bundle this with the Xbone in some fashion. Of course it also coming to 360 and PC limits its system seller status, but it will for sure be a big part of MS marketing for the Xbone.

I'll be digging into Dark Souls 2, so I guess I'll "see" Titanfall a bit later. :p
Looking forward to impressions, though. See if this bad boy is all it's being hyped up to be.

I'd reckon MS's issue with this being a system seller is well... 13 countries.

The timing is somewhat detrimental in a way where many countries will see Titanfall as a current-gen game because they can't get the next-gen console version anyway, unless they import the console.

It's just after the Superbowl as well, so you can bet they'll heavily advertise the XBO version plus the console during the event.

What's wrong with that? Some will get to enjoy it on xbox and others on ps4, there is nothing wrong to say you can't wait to enjoy the game for the system you bought.
