If the controls are not configurable then why would you want to ? Triggers n bumpers would need to be flipped

Just Cause 2 - works
Sleeping Dogs - works
Spec Ops The Line - works

Remember Me - doesn't work, everything works until you get to rooftops and tutorial to hold L2 for special move it just gets stuck there.

Okami HD - doesn't work, won't let you even create a save file

I can confirm that Metal Slug 1 & 2 both work.

I know everyone has been on the edge of their seats waiting to hear that news.

So PS4 is bringing the micro USB cable?

where can I walk in and buy one?, I got a DS4 was shocked ithad no USB

then more shock I have no micro USB, yes I tried to use the PS3 USB :(

I know you removed Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD because of the northwest-walk issue but I've played 17 and a half hours with it with a Dualshock 4 over the past couple days and want to say it's still playable. The movement is a little impeded but dodge rolling and adjusting the camera has made it a neglible issue compared to how much better the controller feels playing it.

So, I guess I'd recommend putting it on the list but with a caveat (it registers a due northwest analog input as walking instead of running) like many of the other titles.

It's playable enough where it should be up to someone's discresion whether they use a DS4 or not.

Confirmed it works on Joe Danger 2, The Cave, Knytt Underground. After Burner for the exception of R1 L1. No dice on Bloodrayne: Betrayal. That game seems to not like any pad that is not official DS3 or my saturn pad with a Gummo Dual Strike SMD.

Whoa whoa whoa, the PS3 usb doesn't work??

What do I need?? I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 USB, but it's the same as the PS3 one.

What's different about the DS4 port?

The DS3 uses the port on the left, which is USB mini.

The DS4 uses the port on the right, which is USB Micro.

USB Micro is the new standard for mobile USB devices, replacing USB Mini, as it's the default port for any smartphone\tablet not made by Apple (or Samsung when they were copying Apple).

The Last of Us and Killzone games are pretty great with the DS4, I must say. I'm also enjoying playing through Arkham City on Steam, finally.

I wish it had rumble support. It's understandable though if Sony does't provide full DS4 support on the PS3. After all they need to sell their new console right?


Edit: There is no rumble support on any games right?

Does it only work with the DS4 connected to the PS3? I am guessing it needs to be connected or people will be putting both consoles on constantly!

Has anyone gotten this to work with Steam version of Arkham City GOTY on a Mac?

I've tried wired and wireless, but even in big picture mode it won't pick it up once I'm in the game. I suppose I need to find a variant on that xinput program that works with OSX?

NBA Live 10...works. It was weird. It wouldn't work at first...then I plugged in another wired 3rd party controller....started game again...worked.

I really wish NBA2k worked.

Hey, is there a correlation between games that have built in playstation move control not working in general?

Every game that I've loaded that had that stupid MOVE image pop up (the white image depicting what you're suppose to do with a move controller) hasn't worked.

NHL 2K8 works.

Conan (THK) game works.


I "pray" Crysis 2 works. I never completed the game on the PC and I just bought it off PSN because the original Crysis worked. Fingers crossed.

Guys do you know if I can use 3m cable to link my PS3 with DS4?Some retailers are saying it wont work if cable is that long?! Anyone can confirm??

MGS4 works, no options to switch R1/L1 functions with R2/L2 though. Oh well, still comfier than DS3. Noticed something is "off" though, it may be my controller, or the game's reaction to Dinput controllers, but running diagonally is impossible. The full analog range of movement is compromised, since whenever the left analog stick is pressed left/up, left/down, right/down, or right/up, Snake just slows down, no matter the level of push. You can run forward at full speed, but when going diagonally, the game does not register enough "push" on the analog, so the game just reads it as half depressed. Bottom line, you can run in the four standard directions, but not in in 8.

Might be my controller, although I didn't notice anything with other games, might just be MGS4.

Uncharted 1 has a couple of motion sensing parts. When you walk on the logs (near the start of the game), you need to balance with the six-axis. When the bad guys/zombie type things jump on you, you need to shake the controller to get them off you or else you die (at least on Crushing [hardest difficulty] I can confirm you die, I assume so for the other difficulties as well).

Infamous 1 requires six-axis to move the lightning ultimate power from side to side, but it isn't necessary. It was next to useless anyway so you should be fine. As listed already, there is no work around to the KZ2/KZ3 explosive attachments/C4 thingies. You need six-axis (just connect a six-axis when you get to those parts).

Oh, and hey Gribble, nice thread. I remember you from N4G. You were one of the few sane people lol.
