good to hear for people getting the X1

if MS pulled it off I think they would lose all the trust they had from the community

Duh, Microsoft isn't planning on repeating its biggest PR-disaster in (recent) history anytime soon even IF they actually still believe always-online DRM is the way to go.

Well, they said before 180's that DRM was definitely going to stay...

Still, I trust him with this. It would be quite stupid to Microsoft implement the DRM back in the middle of a generation. However, X1's successor might be altogether different tale.

"Hey I can't help it if you need a connection to play this game if it uses servers... We can only affect the system and the system can go without the internet..."

Honestly though, they can't bring it back in it's original form, but they may bring back some optional form of it. Changing mid gen is not possible.

This juvenile shit that you guys are doing is really annoying. He misspelled. It happens. Stop getting distracted by shinny things.

People are nuts if they think DRM, as it was originally envisioned, will ever return.

The backlash, besides being so memorable as to forever be a part of any conversation about the introduction of the console, translated to an actual, quantifiable loss for Microsoft to the point that they reversed it all.

This isn't resolutiongate or something that only we care about, this was an incredibly unpopular series of ideas.
