Super Mario 3D World |OT| Next-gen starts right meow!

I think he knows what he is talking about.

Maybe (I don't know if he is supposed to be already playing the game), but that's what i've read so far in every place since the stamps were announced: 1 per level, 85 in total, and they can only be found in levels.

3d World will sell on its own. No reason to bundle it now and lose profits. It took NSMBU a year to be bundled, and thats more of a pack-in than 3d world is.

Well, yeah I know
I was just trying to tell him he shouldn't wait for a 3D World bundle because it seems unlikely either at launch or down the line.

A year from now would be in line with both the NSMBU bundle and the 3D Land bundle they had with the 3DS XL for a time.

Something to think about:
- There could be levels that don't have stamps, even though they are standard levels
- Since one
Captain Toad
level is within the preview-content, I think I can say: Those levels do not have stamps-
- Some stamps might be acquired by different means than levels.

Thanks for the info, Yosh!

This weekend is going to be rough. Xbone, SM3DW, Zelda and catching up on ps4 games I haven't even played yet. Maybe I'll hold-off on Zelda until the holiday vacation, devote some time during travel :).

Wind Waker was always stated to be 30fps.

Oh that explains it. From GameSpot :

"This review was amended on September 19, 2013, after the original text incorrectly stated that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD ran at 60 frames per second. GameSpot apologises for the error."

They fouled me!

Nope, it is confirmed that every standard level has a stamp, and that the only way to acquire stamps is completing standard levels.

No, that's not the only way to collect stamps, you can get them from Toad Houses too (or maybe it was the puzzle boxes, it was one of the two). I saw it in a previous video, even commented in another thread that that might throw level number estimates off.

Edit: Video proof: http://youtu.be/-ORnB19bFWM

There you go, getting a stamp from the equivalent of a Toad House.

So anyone here ever purchased games for a console you did not have ? LOL
I already have WindWaker HD, Wonderful 101, and will pick up Mario 3D World day 1. I will still not buy a Wii U until X and Bayonetta 2 drop. In the meantime I will focus on finishing my PS3 and Xbox360 backlogs.

Why? Budget? You very clearly find the console's games interesting right now.

...very odd i mean if you can afford all those games then might as well buy the console, anyway your backlog is gonna be clogged.

Why do that out of curiosity? Especially buying that many before owning it.

Don't get me wrong but that's a little bit crazy! :D

I fail to see how this makes any sense whatsoever. I can't.

lol I just want to focus on my current backlog on PS3 and 360. WindWaker is my favourite Zelda ever so I know that if I buy a Wii U now, I will definitely be all over the place. Once I'm done with my current gen backlog, I will move on to Wii U and PS4.

I may have a problem lol

They could fuck right off if there's not atleast 100 levels.

I haven't watched much media, but from what I have seen some levels are incredibly short and can be beat within 2 minutes.

Have anyone besides IGN (with an accidental leaked review) commented on their feelings toward the game at all (that have review copies in hand, that is)?

I love how this game has gone from an initial 'meh' to possibly the best Mario in years all before it's even come out. I've just tried playing NSMB U and it's pretty bloody boring, so i'm amped for this.

You have seen World 1 and 2 which tends to be easy. Lets wait for release before you start posting this shit. We still have no clue about post worlds either.

There you go, I was wrong! Then somebody has to edit the info in the Super Mario Wiki (and in several other places)

I picked up Xenosaga episode I before I got a PS2. That and SH2 were what sold me on the system.

Just comments regarding game length, if you check the easy to beat thread.

Thanks for reminding me how fucking gorgeous the artwork in Yoshi's Island is... and how the upcoming new one on 3DS looks atrocious in comparison... :(

NP! ;)

FWIW I think it might be like Dream Team and from what I hear LBW, where it looks much better in fluid motion in person.

See top of page.

Speaking of which, anyone around here know when the embargo might be lifting?

(Anyone seen D-e-f?)

NSMBU is incredible. Please give it another chance. I also recommend the challenge mode.
