Negatives:
- Nothing

"This is Mario like you’ve never seen him before, and unlike so many of his next-gen rivals, he nips along at an effortless 60fps. If the true measure of new hardware’s worth is how stark the difference is between it and what came before, then this is the most next-gen game that 2013 has yet produced."

Positives:
+ Wildly imaginative level design
+ Effortless controls
+ Loads of challenging extra content to discover
+ Gorgeous, colourful visuals and a catchy soundtrack
+ It's Mario in a cat suit!

Negatives:
- Nothing

They must of thought using bowser and multiplayer as a negative was so silly, that they left it blank.

Man nintendo is taking no prisoners this friday, two games both among the highest rated of the year. Their output this year was god tier, back against the wall with guns blazing.

They also gave a 10 to Kirby's Return to Dreamland, for context

"They" is two different reviewers. Jim Sterling (known for his somewhat controversial reviews) did Kirby's Return to Dreamland. Granted I haven't heard of Carter, but I somewhat doubt he'd have give Kirb:RtD a 10.

A colleague of mine posted a review for GameSided. 9/10.
I had a hard time getting through this review due to the writing style... It started with this:

Nintendo has attempted to reinvent Mario in various ways with previous titles that have been released but has been unable to fully accomplish their goal. The status quo can only go so far in the franchise, and Nintendo has finally come to realize a slight change was needed to reinvigorate Mario and friends on the console.
And didn't get much better the rest of the way...

EDGE firing those shots:

Now just lay back and watch the fanboys fight. :p

Super Mario 3D World is a terrific video game. It's just not a very good Wii U game.

Ugh. I get what he's trying to say but this argument constantly drives me mad. It's a good game on the Wii U. Therefore it's a good Wii U game. I didn't buy the console expecting every game to fully utilise every aspect of it.

It's like saying Galaxy wasn't a good Wii game because all you did was occasionally waggle.

Welp. Headed to Target later to pick up either a Zelda or NSMBU bundle. Already sick of my PS4 launch games and have no interest in the Xbox One. You win this round, Nintendo/Mario.

Wastes hours checking old Famitsu software data, but that's why we love him.
I was going to try and hold out until closer to Christmas.

Not gonna be able to do it.
