what am i supposed to do in burnout paradise

other than listen to guns and roses being terrible

Race? Road Rages? Go online, start a party, do a variety of mission goals? Explore the open city finding things to smash and jump to leap? Time trials? Treat it as a zen title just to drive around listening to everything except Guns and Roses? Turn off the in-game music while listening to something on your own personal MP3 device?

It's not a traditional racing game in execution of layout to be sure, but there is a lot to do and online is still very active. As long as one doesn't need giant barriers blocking paths to provide a specific path each time for races, and they like causing other cars to crash.

Wish that a proper Burnout game came out to PC, or that Burnout didn't die with it..

Or just keep doing those intersection events while aimlessly driving around I guess.

i dunno i'm receptive to the open-worldness

just that intro of guns and roses being the absolute worst and then kinda driving around for a couple minutes not knowing what to do was a bad start

i turned down the ingame music for my own and have done some races and smashed through billboards and did some takedowns on cars during races which is cool also listening to biggie is helping too

I think my first order of business will be penguin... then panda.

I remember hearing that pandas taste terrible-- all that bamboo they eat makes them extremely bitter, which is why the Chinese gave up on eating them.

My understanding of the mindset they're operating under is "We developed the DLC so that people who already own the game will pay full price." In the aforementioned deleted thread, they basically said "C'mon guys, the DLC is so good. And buying all three is still cheaper than buying the complete pack".

$0.03 cheaper.

This is why I don't early-adopt. Some developers at least give you the option to upgrade to a complete edition, like with Trine 2, Mark of the Ninja, or the various editions of Civ V, but those are the exception.

The intro wasn't affected by the in-game music setting. It always played and as the dial to my speakers is right on my desk, so it took no great effort on my part to turn it off then turn it right back on once I got past said annoying intro.

I must say, the game looks quite stunning, especially when compared to my first playthrough on my old GF6600.

Although I really need to buy me a SSD drive, seeing the framerate plummet while the game was loading new areas was really distracting. Maybe for Christmas.

Nobody buys DLC at full price unless it's $2 or less. Surely that's something they're aware of by now.

JaseC, looks like Mad Max: Fury Road finally has a 2015 release date! Can't wait to return to the land down under- loved the first two with good ol' Mel!

I haven't seen the Mad Max films in donkey's years. I did try to watch them some weeks ago, but for some reason (I can't remember why exactly) I ripped them at 1080p instead of 720p and my laptop couldn't quite keep up.

Reading through all cats and dogs talk was tiresome. That's why I take on some earlier discussions without quotes.

I don't particularly like Telltale games, so I'm in Jasec's camp on this, GoT from CD Projekt RED would be preferable. Still good news for ASoIaF fans, then again for said fans a new book would be better news

DLC quest is great, really, I wouldn't had believed it myself, but now when I played it, it's genuinely funny little game. Remembering how cheap it is, just buy it and play it.

Thanks for getting me interested in The Last Express, haven't played it before.
