Prepare to have a lot of this at beginning, basically each time you'll go to a new menu, you'll have the voiceover telling you what it is...



Anyway, it just occurred to me, I haven't had my Forza rewards yet, is it normal Helios ?

+/- are on the metal on the right hand side.

Also I hope the tread on the outside of the sticks last because they are great for grip.

So the only way to get to the menu is to get into one of the FORCED races and then quit out. Such a dumb ass design decision this was.

Now that that is out of the way... the game definitely has some bad aliasing. That "old build" claim was bull.

The Xbox should get here in a few hours and when it does, I'll be off to Best Buy to pick up my LCE. In the meantime, it's been great reading the early impressions and seeing the lovely screens. By the way, good to to finally see you around here, Jube. :) That DBR9 shot of yours genuinely made me do a double-take.

I can't wait to spend some quality time with this game later today. The upcoming few weeks are absolutely going to kick my ass, so Forza will be a rare source of pleasure.

really, I dont give a shit about getting 100$.

I want my order, which I placed June 19th and talked with amazon support TENS of times even up to yesterday, to be on time like was promised.
the fuckers would not even let me get the vanilla forza out of this order i placed in june, and this happened way over two months ago, saying that this "would not guarantee the day 1 delivery order", while they didnt offer forza LCE.


there are some small shops here in my country, that have managed to import themselves the console.
its the first time in my life I opted to buy something by pre-order, instead of just going in a local shop and paying for it, thinking it would be the easier thing to do.

and look at me now....

My LCE has just arrived with the postman. Just waiting on my console now, DPD tracker reckons it'll be here within 30 minutes. Am excited.

The UPS guys come at 2 different times usually. Sometimes it's 2pm....sometimes it's 5:30pm.

I hope it's 2pm as I get off work at noon today.

I also have a TON coming in from Amazon today, 6 packages to be exact...

nah, the country has nothing to do with AMAZON.UK being incompetent and their customer support being oblivious or just plain lying.
I mean, I was offered to pay up for same day delivery (today) or ..WORST CASE SCENARIO, tomorrow, while their courier does not even deliver at saturdays... how about that?

I can walk to a store and buy a grey import right now in my country, that also extra reason for me being so pissed!

but for Seanspeed, yeah, you are right about that... :D

yeah, saw your post above. that sucks man. thanks for the stream, but at this point i've seen enough and am avoiding watching to much. stiill want a lot of the experience to be fresh when i boot up and play. especially with 14 tracks - i dont want it to become old faster then it will on its own ;)

wonder when we'll get expansion pack deets?

Serioulsy man,the audio in FM5 has to be heard in person.
The turbo spools and BOV's sound amazing. The crackling of the exhaust, the backfire, the reverb, the gear shifts..etc are giving me goose bumps!
The improved tyre sounds on all surfaces sound so fucking good.
Spacial sound is also top fucking notch.

This is Nick Wiswell's and the Turn 10 audio team's masterpiece!

I watched a replay on La Sarthe, there were one or two Forza cam but overall it was really good, especially some aerial shots in the Hunaudière straight similar to GT. It's still the same replay angle no matter the number of lap though...

One new small detail I noticed while upgrading my
remodeled
NSX was that brakes are actually changed on the car when you upgrade them. It's pretty cool after getting the visible roll cage and weight reduction in previous Forza.

i'd really like replays to get some major attention for the next installment. in addition to better and more varied angles would it be too much to ask for some sort of smart ai driven replay camera to picks angles and cars to focus based on whats occurring (collisions, passes, battles, etc)?

We can't get photos officially yet, Jube got mine directly from their source, that's why you don't see much. I have a lot more that are shared but I guess he's asleep at the moment so we'll have to wait ! :)

When was the last time he was passionate about any game he played? I've been listening to the podcast for years and I can think of... Trackmania and that's about it. I'd take his opinions on games with a grain of salt. That said, most of the GB guys have very different taste from me (and much of GAF).

Not going to lie, fellas, I'm itching to pull the trigger on that LaFerrari.

Then I realize it would mean paying $10 for what is effectively, for me, a single car. Restricting a machine of such utter magnificence to paid launch day DLC is an odious tactic, one that I'm trying desperately hard to resist supporting.
