Wait, are the ME2 DLC packs just generic Bioware points? Because I need those for Mass Effect 3 DLC.
My mistake, you have to buy the full pack that goes on sale tomorrow. So it wont be exactly 50% savings and it wont net you the exact amount of points you need for all the dlc probably.

Lol I was wondering my my coupon wasn't applying to the individual one. Bioware points are the worst thing in pc gaming ever.

Hey, no, Jazzpunk is by a different dude. It's just really similar in form to something like Thirty Flights or Gravity Bone.

I really enjoyed 30 Flights of Loving, and could almost guarantee that I haven't seen any of the obscure movies you're talking about. I wouldn't exactly recommend anybody buy it at full price, it's a 10 minute thing. But I ended up with it...somehow. I don't remember if it was on sale or what, but I wasn't upset with my purchase.
I think it was a Humble Weekly at some point, along with various other Blendo Games. I'm pretty sure I actually bought it standalone though, which might have annoyed me more. Or my dislike of hipster non-game games tends to run headlong into GAF tendencies to rave about those types of games (i.e. Proteus).

I do like their other games though.

Regarding Brothers: how does it control with mouse & keyboard? I'm on the fence buying this because of the "control both brothers at the same time with both thumbsticks" thing, which sounds like it's gonna control like a drunken bull on exstacy if you don't use a gamepad...

Just a reminder. It's still time to enter my Castlevania giveaway.

played some Ittle Dew and Stump totally ignored me

Loved that game. Kind of a Zelda-themed (but in a tongue-in-cheek way) Chip's Challenge puzzler.

There was one boss that I found really obnoxious though. It didn't really feel like it fit in with the rest of the game.

It's WSDA + arrow keys. It's clunky but manageable. Clearly not the way it's meant to be played though. Since it's really short it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Jazzpunk now has a Steam page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/250260/?snr=1_4_4__105_1.

It's a Brendon Chung game as slapstick comedy and it's really, genuinely hysterical.

It's also available through the Humble Store.

I always prefer to buy games like these through the humble store, and try them out before I add them to my Steam account. 30 Flights of Loving did nothing for me, so I'm glad that I don't have that in my library.

Edit: Unless you're referring to the Abstergo logo, in which case, yes.

That is the abstergo logo I think. I have also noticed that Ubisoft uses the same icons across their games.

Yeah I googled it, apparently there are a couple Easter Eggs in this side mission for Far Cry 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TSH1sjhJ_A. I haven't really played Assassins Creed. I think I have the first one in my Library but never played it.

Yeah, it's cool but a bit hard to get into after playing the newest Zelda. The controls in that one were perfect.

Sorry dude, sometimes I just want to take a nap.

It's alright, I just thought we could bond in the privacy of nature.

Yeah, I wouldn't go recommending it to anyone. Still, I think your assumption that you need to be a hipster or know obscure movies to enjoy it is way off the mark. Sometimes people just enjoy those kinds of experiences.

The original is my favourite of the bunch, but I'm in a very small minority there so don't let it colour your expectations. If you do ever get around to playing it, expect the worst and perhaps you'll be pleasantly surprised, if only faintly.

Anyone know any good Fire Emblem style tactics games on Steam?
Hmm Agarest maybe? A little.

Defender's Quest is a tower defense game, but it has a Fire Emblem-style RPG party with leveling and equipable weapons and armor that lets you customize your party.

Oh I almost forgot, the various Heroes of Might and Magic and Kings Bounty games.

The Banner Saga, which comes out next week. Stunningly beautiful SRPG with perma-death and divisive choose-your-own-adventure storyline elements.

Really hoping that this turns out to be one of the best recommendations of the year.

you lucky!!!!!

you should share these deals with us man!

Share in what sense?
It was pretty common knowledge in here that it might be a good idea to get a couple of copies of that game to keep in your inventory in case it got pulled.

But if you mean he should just give back to SteamGAF... well, sure, whynot? I'll take some charity. ;)

Is this even possible? Steam has a notice on the game page that says a controller is REQUIRED.

nope haha! i'm pretty bad with the common knowledge bit. lol. I require initiation in the art of keeping games for trade later

Blackguards.

I've not actually played them myself, but what about the Grotesque Tactics games? They're SRPG, aren't they? Are they any good at their core gameplay?

When the game was released, the discussion in the thread kept wandering back to the "how is this not pulled yet?"
I think jshackles (or somebody) even made a thread focusing on the idea of it being blatent copyright infringement and how it was likely to get pulled from Steam...
I think, overall, it took much longer than everyone expected it to. :lol

Not sure how many SteamGAF actually bet on trading it after it was pulled (besides JaseC), though...

Damn you! You remind me of having to wait for Wasteland 2 until it's official release, like the dirty, inferior peasant I am :(

Now I gotta play Skyrim to lose track of time even more than before. If my g/f leaves me or my cats die of negligence, it's on you mister!

Also, new XCOM rocks, although I have no clue what Fire Emblem plays like.. So yeah. Old XCOM is something I can't handle anymore. It's a recurring problem with old, complex games: the archaic interface puts me off so much (graphics to a much lesser extend). I also feel dirty about that, since most games from the 90s are awesome, but I've just been too spoiled in recent years to cope with outdated, archaic interfaces :(

P.s. This thread moves faster than a Delorean!

I load it up to play every few weeks and am pretty surprised at how much changes each time. I really like what they've done with it.

I'm just going to wait until the game is done this time. I always play Early Access games to completion and don't come back to them after the developer has finished updating the game.
