We haven't had a clip like that in a looooong time. The last 4-5 clips involved at least 8-10 cars.
I've been waiting for this game since it was announced and the delay and no info on when we might be able to get it turned my hype for the game down a lot. But now that I see that it might come out in April/ May, I am fine with it. It's the kind of game that I would love to play during summer. Plus, Titanfall on PC and I:SS is going to take up my time.

Evolution need to get their shit together. GT6 not on PS4 continues to be a mistake.
That must surely be nostalgia goggles, the PS3 launch was terrible. I don't understand this launch drought thing either though, It's January, look at what's coming out on PS360 this month....the big hitters are a Vita port and Tomb raider GOTY edition.
Not sure I agree with April or May. IMO This is gonna be march with renewed ps4 marketing highlighting mlb, infamous and drive club. March is gonna be a big month so both companies will come with whatever they have. Ms will probably highlight titanfall and.... They probably have Mgs 5 marketing rights ? Any other exclusive from ms in March? Pvz even though timed is in February
So I'm just basing this off of what we think we know will be on Playstation Plus. Outlast is Februrary, and Secret Ponchos is April ( I forget why we think that though, but it's thrown around enough ). That means, Sony has to cut yet another deal with another indie dev for a game hitting during March, or Driveclub hits March. If the former, I vote for Android Assault Cactus. If the latter, then maybe the Japan delay would make sense? If it's not March, it's probably gonna be May. Driveclub is a card on the table now, they just need to figure out when to use it.

Considering they left the initial announcement of the Driveclub delay so late (less than a month before PS4 launch), I can't fathom any way this game could come out after March. The game was surely close to being done which is why they left the announcement quite late.

Well apparently, the reason that it was that date specifically, was because that's when the discs need to go gold and they need to start being printed. The game wasn't going gold by it's deadline, and hence the delay on that date. The same applys to Watchdogs.

Yes, though the previous poster's point is that as they delayed it so close before release it should really have meant that they were close to going gold.
If they still had a shit-tonne amount of stuff to do, they would have known earlier that they'd need to delay the game, and therefore if they were close then they shouldn't need that much more time to complete it.
Of course they may have known much earlier and were just waiting for the right time to relay that to us.

It was close to being ready, I think we can all assume those short clips from Rushy were edits from full race vids that the marketing team were to slow to put out before the delay, and unwilling to after.
My guess is Sony gave them a bit of leeway to release on their terms rather than an arbitrary console release date, meaning a little bit longer to fine tune things, but graphically it's done looking at those clips.

This game seems to have kind of disappeared from public light recently. Wonder what is up with it.
Preparations for VR push. Or just silence before marketing that will showcase graphics that has received final polish.
After feedback from focus groups, it's being given a gritty urban makeover with guns, cinematic cutscenes and QTE's galore.

I'm glad Evo is taking their time as the game still looked rather terrible at E3. Everyone including me wanted GT5 back then, but when I think about it I wished PD would've delayed it instead of the product that sat on the shelves.
The Driveclub delay isn't going to be that big, I think 6 months at best, but as long as the finished result will be good. Rivals filled in the racing void reasonably well, I played it for a fair bit of weeks.
March is not likely with Infamous coming out as well. I think its no sooner than April.

Combined with the need for a March plus game this would make sense wouldn't it? More than one retailer using this date increases confidence in accuracy significantly.

The other thing about the Gamestop listing I noticed was how much it has been updated with details on the game's features and the preorder bonuses. It looks far more official than it did earlier.

SCEJ is still floundering, Unit 13, Resistance Vita, Killzone has been been continually disappointing and now Evolution is having trouble getting Driveclub out the door.

This was originally a launch product and had been marketed as such, but the game looked very far from great just a few months before that. Which is I'm happy Evo is taking their time with this.
And if DC doesn't make a Feb release, it probably means its still not ready enough for that date.

Sure, lots of indie titles... and sure, some titles will probably get delayed into 2014. That said, there will be enough titles on PS4 that won't come out on Xbox One... or PC.
And it's too bad people keep forgetting about Rime, Shadow Of The Beast and Eveybody's Gone To The Rapture.

Pretty excited! The more games the better! Maybe it will be a summer title (I hope the same for Watch Dogs.) I LOVE playing new games in the summer, when I am NOT in school studying for finals/writing essays. (srsrly, what gives)

I guess the only thing making it seem silly is Infamous, why release two AAA games in one month when you have very few exclusives to release in the near future.

I don't see how March is a bad idea really. The crossover between #DRIVECLUB and Infamous isn't that big and pushing Driveclub further back than March doesn't make much sense either. And honestly they need to get as much quality stuff out there as they can against Titanfall.
Well according to the industry people don't play games in the summer.
Of course people go to watch all the big movies though. Don't ask me why this logic makes sense.
