Well if you look at the artwork for TR2013 you'll see that what she looks like now, the lastgen version was probley meant to look like she does now but limitations of lastgen probably effected that.

every single PS4 game I've bought, the disc was just flopping around in the case, tomb raider included.

the disc was not secured on the spindle thing. its strange because the PS4 game cases don't feel super cheap like other cases

Picked up a copy from GS in Omaha. Guy said he actually got an email from corporate saying it was cool if they got the stock that day. If yours tells you no, tell them to check their emails.

^the loose disc has only happened on one of my games thus far.

The only thing this version of the game has going for it are technical improvements and while i personally don't care if it's a thousand times better than my apparently shitty ass pc version it's still really interesting to see how it holds up because as we can all see it's not better than the pc version in every way not in graphics nor framerate.

So I got this game for ~$47 for my ps4, but haven't opened it yet. Is it worth that or should I just wait for it to drop down and return it? How is it for people who got it already?

Sounds like a bad case of floppy disk syndrome. Might want to see a doctor about that. Maybe lay off on the disk handling for a week and see if they come to you tight and stiff in the box then. If not, I think they make some pills that help keep them in place.

Well, there is no circle jerk in here. Some think the upgrade/ changes are worth it and some do not.
Real screenshots will give you more time to notice stuff you won't notice in motion while playing. That's with every game.
Again, if you have the pc version, then you'll have a great version of the game with all the extra options that comes with PC gaming.

I think both Lara models have their ups and downs. It's up to personal preference at this point, unless you really need fully tessellated breasts.

As for those surprised by the lower quality environmental assets, they probably look about on-par with the pc version on medium or so. I'll wait for the DF comparison to judge fully though.

I am interested in picking this up, especially so considering I picked up the original pc version for dirt cheap and haven't played it really.

Nah its more "for me anyway" I already know the differences and I'm happy with what the DE version delivers it looks like an upgrade
I don't care about the PC version because I already know about it and I'm not here to talk about it and I don't think anyone else is either, did that months ago I already know it good, but look what we have here, an upgraded (in most areas, imo) 1080p@60fps

This actually just happened to my roommate with BF4. We heard the rattling and thought it was a trial booklet for PS+. Definitely was the game. Only time I have seen that happen though.

Got my copy from the GS in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. Thought it was odd I got a text from GS last night saying it was going to be in Friday. Glad it was THIS Friday.

Ah right, it does look a lot smoother than 30fps though if that makes sense. Its like watching a Youtube playthrough of a 60fps game, Youtube only runs at 30 fps but a 60fps game still looks a lot smoother than a 30fps game even though both are only outputting at 30fps on Youtube.

I know that doesn't make sense but i watch a lot of playthroughs and you really can tell.

I think in some places like when shes hanging in that room it look dam like CGI, I'm really impressed and obviously didn't expect this when I brought my PS4.

Looking forward to this on PS4 as I never bought it for PS3, as a result the $60 price tag is easier to justify.

I am hoping that it remote plays well on the Vita though, so I can experience the 30fps cinematic experience I would otherwise be missing! ;-)

Yeah, the video showed that the face is an improvement. Ofcourse, gaf is especially well trained in finding and making the worst looking screens :p.
It's a talent.

People just want to see what they want to see on their platform of choice. I'm playing tomb raider on pc now and I wish I had the definitive face, the vanilla one is just not right. This is a major improvement but people will keep spamming that one ugly picture.

I wonder if they'll ever patch the new effects into the PC version. This is the first time I've had a PC game with less bells and whistles as the console versions.

Just got an Xbox One copy at the Gamestop in Hillsboro, OR, which is a suburb of Portland. All local shops have them and are selling them, according to the manager, and they only found out this morning. Really stoked.

I preordered yesterday morning and got the artbook edition today. I think I lucked out, however, as the GameStop employee said it was the last one. Hopefully you'll get one as well.

Edit: I see you are getting it as well :)
