the game had an update recently which broke the time cycle file ( i didn't use it so i was spared from my game crashing ) so i am not sure if the author has fixed that yet .

It's that time of the year when people go back and play their favorites. I'm playing games that can't really be screenshot (South Park, Undertale, etc).

This isn't a great thread for discussion anyways. People like to see that continuing stream of screenshots. But hey, if you really want to derail a thread, best thing to do is go in and say that the developer behind one of the best looking open world game on PC (if not THE best) should be embarrassed by its graphics...

DA:I long loading times? don't recall them, but I use an SSD, perhaps that helps a great deal.

Spent a whole day trying to get Skyrim back in working (read: non-eyeblistering) order, but couldn't get it above 30FPS with any decent ENB. So, you all can relax now, no more skyrim shots from me. Started Crysis 1 instead. Runs at maxed out 60fps and room to spare. Love the built-in screenshot tool which can render the scene at whatever resolution you want for a shot.

This is a thread designed to appreciate large images in all their glory. Your images take about 3 clicks to see the original. And most of them are so similar that you don't need to post so many.

That right there is just 2 seemingly random frames from a cut scene. Neither of which are very interesting.

Choosing just 2 images per post forces you to be more selective. Having to pick the very best shots you have increases the thread's overall quality.

As someone who has pictures disabled for spoiler and bandwith reasons, I have to click on links to view screenshots at full size. Thumbnails however will not open in full size and stay as small as they are.

So yeah that problem is on my end and not your fault but that's a reason why thumbnails suck imo.

Now I have to continue playing the game since only every 30th shot is usable. (That's the problem when you play on a 720p projector, a scene looks great downsampled from 4k, but when you open the actual shots later the asset "quality" is revealed)

Risen 3 is one of those games that's been on my radar though.

Way better than Risen 2 in overall gaming experience but combat mechanics can't keep up with the from Risen 1-- those are superior by far. Nevertheless the games have that typical Piranha Bytes charme (been playing their RPGs since Gothic 1 release). You just have to hold back your expectations a little.

I really like those colors and the clarity of the image and each asset on the screen. Real high end image quality there.

1080p? Pfffft. 1440p! (thread hasn't complained so far).

I use Lanczos2 from FastStone Image Viewer. If the image will have any banding at all, then I use bicubic from photoshop.

6880x2880 to 3440x1440

3840x2400 downsample to 1920x1200, Ultra, HBAO+ (30ish fps - not how I play)

2560x1600 downsampled to 1920x1200, Ultra, (60 fps lock - how I play)

Have you tried editing the config file with the desired custom/DSR resolution and then launching the game afterwards? That's how I got it to work since changing the resolution in game didn't do anything.

I've been cursed lately. I have been in a screenshotting lull because I always think to myself, "Is the screenshot really worth taking? (Engine controls, Cheat Engine, 1 fps, GTX 970 driver crashing, etc.)

I keep hoping with new releases and new hardware, I will get back into it, but nothing has really inspired me so far. I need Remember Me 2 or something. Maybe I should fund FAKEFACTORY to mod something ha. Hopefully when the next wave of GPUs come out, I can be bothered to try shooting again...

I've a 4790k/980Ti and I just ran an Afterburner test for about 5 mins at 4213x1764 (DSR) with hairworks on all characters, 4xhairworks and everything else on ultra, plus V-sync on and I never dipped below 31fps. I guess it would also depend on what area you're in but I tested it in Velen by the ocean and most of the time I was getting a steady 34-38 fps. I'd say something isn't right there unless you have .ini tweaks and reshade going on. Mind you my card card is slightly factory overclocked but I don't know if that would make too much difference.

Is it locking to 30 when it plummets? In that case you have double buffered vsync on, try turning off vsync.
