Rupaul winning the reality competition host Emmy and the show not being up for best reality/competition show is hypocrisy of the highest order.

Grizzlyjin

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
FX deserves to clean up. The Americans, The People vs OJ Simpson, and Fargo were all stellar. Hoping The Americans gets some love, along with Courtney B Vance, Sarah Paulson, and Fargo for some writing nods.

I've never been a Kimmel fan, he's always seemed to be the safe late night guy. What are the chances of him dropping the ball here?

Damn, I don't watch Getting On, but Niecy Nash should win in the same category for Scream Queens, so I hope she wins this one anyway.

Supporting Actor in a Comedy is super crowded with great talent this year Louie Anderson, Andre Braugher, or Tituss Burgess are all awesome picks.

On the drama side, I am hoping for at least a few awards for Mr. Robot and no big wins for GoT.

Its crazy how much more I like the Emmy nominations than Oscars. I've watched a total of 1 of the major 2016 Oscar winners - only Inside Out; didn't watch Spotlight, Revenant, Room, Danish Girl, or Bridge of Spies. Probably watched less than 10% of the nominees for the big categories.

By contrast I have watched like 70% of the big nominees for emmy's and enjoyed almost all of them. I guess I am just a TV pleb.

Limited series seems like the category with the strongest contenders, those were all amazing seasons of limited series TV.

outstanding dramas not very outstanding this year. three of them are genuinely quite bad.

The last time the majority of nominees in the drama category were actually outstanding was 4 years ago.

Damn, I don't watch Getting On, but Niecy Nash should win in the same category for Scream Queens, so I hope she wins this one anyway.

She's really quite good in Getting On. I wouldn't be mad at all if she won.

I bet Steven Soderbergh's transcendent work on The Knick will once again be snubbed in favor of the "that's fine" direction of Game of Thrones.

Haven't watched one of these in forever, scratching my head why ABC live streaming isn't supported in my area still. Network TV streaming infrastructure is woefully underdeveloped still.

Did the rules change again?

If they didn't then HBO wins everything because they have the most voters after the rule change

Hoping for all those Mr. Robot wins.

And especially for Rami Malek. Dude deserves it. He carried the whole first season IMO. Season 2 became a more ensemble cast which I think is still just as good.

I'm surprised HBO submitted The Door and not The Winds of Winter for Game of Thrones. The finale might have been the show's best episode yet.

I bet Steven Soderbergh's transcendent work on The Knick will once again be snubbed in favor of the "that's fine" direction of Game of Thrones.

For real. That episode was my favorite of the year. It was fantastic, haunting, and just...memorable. I still think about even today.

I really liked that GOT ep, but it felt more spectacle than anything else.

Is it just more or have The Americans not really ever been up for nominations until now?

(Or do they just keep losing to GoT?)

The only previous nominations were Margo Martindale 3 times, and one for writing last year. Travesty.
