By the way, just in case you haven't figured it out yet, the complex is never responsible for your personal belongings. Don't expect them to be. If you have expensive shit, you should carry renter's insurance. I know if, for example, my $14,000 piano was lost in a fire, and I didn't have insurance, I would no longer have a piano and I would have no recourse except to sue the person who started the fire myself.

I'd start the wash, go home, watch part of my recorded episode of 24, go back, throw it in the dryer, go home, finish up the episode, and go pick all the shit up. I always figured there was a chance they'd get stolen, but I had crappy clothes to match my crappy apartment and wouldn't have really shed a tear.
Now if you leave behind any manner of nice clothes, yeah, them getting stolen in that situation is going to be partly your own doing.
