Saboteur still doesn't work. What a piece of crap. Where do I apply for a refund, Tony?

Did you get the beta patch? 1.03 I think it was. After I got that I stopped having crashing and freezing issues.
3 times downloaded and LA Noire has failed with CRC errors upon reaching an audio part of the installer. I called Amazon and they refunded me and let me keep the game. That is awesome but I want to play this game. Apparently other people have had issues with the Amazon LAN DL as well.
Apparently even the reviews for the game on the site have the same issues with some stupid fixes that the user shouldn't have to go through just to get it to work. So I don't know who to blame.
The Crysis Maximum one.
Hey Tony, is there some reason we can't use Amazon payments to buy download stuff from Amazon?
Yeah I dont like having to buy downloads one at a time. I'd rather pile a bunch together and purchase.
Hey Tony is there any chance you guys may be offering The Witcher 2 digitally anytime soon. Maybe I'm missing it, but can't seem to find it on the site. Even better, any chance of a sale?
I got Witcher 2 from Amazon back a bit on a sale. Should be there.
See if this works.

Weird. Thanks for trying though. Hopefully Amazon will restock it as I'd love to dig into it some time.
Is Max Payne 3 on Amazon gonna be Steamworks?
Sucks :/Nope.
Does it have DRM?The digital download version of Jane Jensen's Gray Matter is on sale for $5.00 (not Steamworks).
The systems that take the orders for digital stuff are different than physical, not everything is hooked up the same way yet. Example, digital still doesn't have a "shopping cart".
Stuff like this is all being worked on though.
Cheers,
Tony

Make sure you select "PC Download" on the store page, the boxed version is still $20.
So Tony, if you happen to have any info on this, are you guys ever going to redesign your checkout system? The world's largest online store and there's a multiple step checkout where there isn't even a link back to the main site at every step in the checkout process. I'm mainly asking on behalf of a friend who has worked at one of the biggest designers and providers of online shopping systems in my country, because he was very curious as to why it hasn't been modernized I assume it would be a pretty huge undertaking, but still.

It works. Click 'Premium' [/QUOTE
I hope so, the digital publisher for this game recently changed and we're working on getting it back up though.

Gray Matter for $5 is a steal. I read somewhere there was no DRM indication but I dunno for sure.
Thanks for posting this, glad you like the deal
Thanks, it's nice to have an actual answer other than "you just can't, okay?!!"
Best viral marketer ever.
Happy you found the answer insightful. I'd rather have you all understand what I'm telling you guys than be vague, that doesn't help anyone. If something is inappropriate to talk about I just say "that's not something I can appropriately talk about in a public forum". One example of this was last week someone asked me about sales numbers for a specific product during a sale period. I couldn't answer that specifically but I did tell them that everyone was happy with the performance.
Speaking of good p&c adventure game on sale, The Whispered World is also on sale for $2.99 (also not Steamworks).
TWW for $2.99 is a crazy good deal. Great art. Voice acting a little ehh but still worth that!
Thanks for posting this .
Cheers,
Tony
I posted it in the OT of the game but it needs all the attention it can get. Amazon.com has Crusader Kings 2 download at 17.99$.

THIS.
It is a great deal, especially since the game was just released on Feb 14th 2012. And it hasn't dropped in price because it is a bad game and has bombed, it is considered by many to be their best game yet.

I'm really surprised this isn't doing better, I'd pegged Crusader Kings II as one of the flagships of this sale, we even hard coded it to the top of the list (which is usually sorted by best sellers) for the first 2 days of the sale...everyone seems to say (anecdotally) that the game is awesome and this is a great deal. Not many people are backing that up with their wallets though.
Cheers,
Tony
It is a really cool game but it's probably the most niche type of game and genre around, other than a few japan-only genres maybe.
They have a brutal learning curve and are insanely complex (the amount of bars, charts and numbers can be overwhelming at times), and in the thread we have here about admitting what you suck at in terms of genres it seems like 85% of that thread said RTS. So given that this is even more complex than most standard RTS I'm not too surprised it's not selling better.
It should sell better though. Stick with it people, you'll suck for a while but after you get a hang of it it's amazing.
Unfortunately I think part of it might be due to people seeing that great price against all of the other cheaper prices, which may make the sale price seem not so great, which it actually is. It also was released without a huge amount of fanfare too, and many Paradox Interactive fans, like myself, started to wait on buying their new releases instead of buying within the first year because they had become known for buggy releases that were eventually patched into worthiness... I have heard nothing about bugs for Crusader Kings II though, and the scores/impressions of others seem to be nothing but great.
EDIT: Also, what Derrick01 just said above me.
That's an awesome answer. Will forward to my friend. Thanks a lot for taking the time!Short answer: Yes we are and are constantly doing so.
I can tell you that this kind of stuff is under constant redesign, it just takes a really long time and several layers of approval (which I agree with in this case given we're changing the system that conducts transactions). We are making progress though, for example last month we added two "Continue Shopping, and one "Just need your keys" links to the last page in the checkout process. This was a result of feedback like yours (and UX common sense ).
Alot of the changes, or lack thereof, have to do with latency. Remember, part of the user experience is related to how fast things happen, not just what they look like while they are happening, so when we make a system change we have to make sure it fits within what we have all agreed is an acceptable load time for the page.
Hope this answers your question!

It has one. Is it lacking in the demo? The Shogun 2 demo is basically a massive tutorial and I thought that was great. Kind of sad is Paradox isn't as helpful with their demos.a game like this needs a detailed step-by-step tutorial that walks the newbie through it in baby steps.

Avadon: The Black Fortress - $2.99 (Casual Game Downloads Spring Sale ends tomorrow on the 15th)

I am surprised that this wasn't mentioned previously. It is an absolutely great old school RPG. I do think it is somewhat mislabeled as "Casual" though.
I think he would probably be interested in any suggestions we might have as well.Originally Posted by Amazon DVG Deals

and let me know what you think, as well as what Casual games we should try putting in there and I'll try to run them down, give me a good smattering so I can contact a bunch of people...remember to stick to casual games...at least the stuff we call casual .

I've been really wanting to try this. Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea it was on sale!
