That's really naiveReally disappointed to read this. I thought Eastern Europeans were mostly really smart people hampered by shitty governments.
As an Eastern European, I find this region better-suited for short visits. Some nice places, nice women, good food. You can experience all that is worth experiencing in a week or two.
But living here? Not a lot of fun.
So I'm guessing the declining birth rates in these countries are caused by emigration?
If you visit Europe and skip Prague you fucked up. There are beautiful things there, don't let some dumb movie stop you.I would like to visit Western Europe one day such as England, France, Spain, Italy and perhaps Germany. Never Eastern Europe. Not after watching the movie Hostel and reading this thread...
This must sound amazing to 80% of GAF.
Aren't gypsies from there?
Polish beer is crap.
I'm fascinated with Poland and Polish men.
I'd love to live there.
By the way, what do we even count as Eastern Europe?
As far as West cares, Eastern Europe = iron curtain countries
But Canada is a part of USA.You consider countries that don't make the headlines to be mysterious? In that case, Canada is the most mysterious country of all, especially where I come from.
Things aren't that bad in the place I live in in comparison to FunkyLounge, but I still want to move out (I'm from a larger Croatian city). This place really livens up in the summer when everyone is at the sea and when all the tourists come. Problems like high (and growing) unemployment rate, low wages, political corruption, abundance of old industrial plants, old infrastructure all over the place don't seem that obvious to folks who come by a few days because of great landscapes, large festivals, beautiful Adriatic sea/islands, hot women etc. but they're always there and it doesn't look like those problems are going away soon. That's why theres a sense among youth that with the same amount of effort we can accomplish much more in the West, and that, along with growing number of unemployed people is the main reason I wanna move out.
A Gaffer mentioned bipolar mood nature of EE people - that really depends on the place you take the examples from, but there sure is alot of people like that, especially in rural areas
As long as we're better than Latvia.
The people who I met from eastern Europe in London are some of the grumpiest, rudest people out there, even their female. While I intend to visit there as much as I can for their amazing Architecture, I am not a big fan of their people. So I don't find their women hot just because that very reason.
and are they so mysterious? If you live in Europe, you are already aware of their situation(s), mainly because of Football.
Some recent Croatia pics
Well, it's not exactly untrue. Also, calling expats lazy is probably not a good start.:/
^^^^^^^
Don't judge from the the few black sheep, that were too lazy to make their lives at their respective countries.

i was there last year, easily one of the most beautiful places ive been to - kinda place that'd be cool to retire in, i thought. great people too.
did you make Plitvice
I would buy a travel book that rated women by downess with brothers. The scale can go from Drake too Old Dirty Bastard.

Lol
So, which EE country has the hottest girls that are starry eyed that a good looking western man is talking to them and has the most liberal sexual values? Sizing up a cheap lads on tour for the summmer (no hostel-like, backpacker butchering countries pls). Thank you.
Always thought Russia was Asian for some reason.
Anyway, Eastern Europe from my experience is pretty great. Some of the most beautiful women in the world and generally a low cost of living. Pag Island might be my favorite place to party in the world.

I whole heatedly disagree. The language to my ears is always rough sounding and very displeasing to hear in the public. Sometimes I don't even like using it for that reason alone, so when I hear it being called "soft" and "sweet", I think that person is nuts.Russia is definitely the most interesting country in the world imo. Shared between Europe and Orient, build by magnificent mind and madness, pervaded with christianity and superstitions, and torned appart by extreme cold and stunning heat. So much history, so much culture, so much unconventionnal, and so much god damn goddesses. They have the softest, the sweetest slavic language.
