I think it adds to the thought process. I'm a fan of it. It fills in gaps. Now being a fan of the original release and then watching the numerous other versions without the narration, even though it's not present you are gifted with the knowledge of information.

One of the very few movie narrations that actually works. It's simple and effective and captures the mood of the film perfectly.

A little different from what's normal for narration in films because the narrator is not a character at all. It's just perfect, imo.
Amelie is really good.
Yeah, Jesse James does it pretty well. The ending is just great in how its got the narration and music working so beautifully together.
