Can you downsample for this specific game only? As I understand it, when you set up downsampling, it affects everything
To people with 5850/6850, if you're fine with 30 fps my advice is to just lower the shadows to normal or high at most and max out everything else. At 1080p you'll get absolutely smooth performance (assuming you don't have a bottleneck with cpu or memory).
just set up a custom res and dont use it for anything except this game
I can't resist it. It just looks too fucking beautiful when you downsample from a high res.
Wow that is really bad. It is a modified e UE3 so i guess that`s why. I wonder what they did with it that makes it run much worse.

That depends on how picky you are. The thing about downsampling is that games just look better and better the higher you go. And when you have a decent view distance, objects further away benefit from higher downsampling even more.
Also, I post in that thread regularly. I play with all the settings I take my screenshots at. Some people just have that hardware

If you look around with a mouse it is stuttery as fuck, but with a 360 pad it's fine. I can't believe they messed up the mouse stuff again. It's playable, and I still prefer it to the pad purely because of the Vigor hotkeys, but yeah, pretty bad this hasn't been fixed.
Whut? No problem here with mouse stuttering. Turn of vsync and mouse acceleration if you haven't.
I already have. Stuttering might not be the right word, but it's most certainly not as smooth as you'd expect from any fps game (I'm running it at 60fps so that's not the problem), it's noticeably less smooth than the 360 pad.
Crappy mouse or crappy mouse drivers
This game has sooooo many movies on start-up. Which ones do I get rid of again?
Is there anything crazy you have to do to get SweetFX working?
Or manually back up the save file, which should be possible.Haven't played the game yet, but the only thing I'm not digging is the save system on PC. Does this mean that, if my roommate wants to play, he'll either have to erase my progress or wait for me to finish?
I had to kill Fraps and MSI Afterburner before it worked for me.
Nope, works fine in 99.9% of games, there's a few fps/3rd person games that are just obviously made with the 360 pad in mind as the main control input, and this is one of them (Bioshock 1 was another). It's not that bad, as I'm still playing with a mouse simply because the hotkeys make up for the less smooth mouse look, but it's noticeable.
Also the game is brilliant so far. Would have been amazing if the pc version was pitch perfect, there are just a few niggles which should be easily fixable in a patch. I hope they do.

Missing Titan on the benchmark chart. I have a Titan and will see how it performs tonight!

Gotta love Plasma, I'm playing on an older 8G 50" Pioneer Kuro via HDMI w/ wireless 360 controller and I'm still impressed by it's PQ every time I fire up a game.
DO NOT TRY BACKING UP SAVES FOR LATER. I can confirm it does not work Played through the intro again, tried going back to my old save... Aaaaaaaaand I'm back at the raffle.
What was the problem?I just actually got my saves back. I renamed some saves around, and saved me an hour of gameplay.
