Bulletstorm |OT| Dick-Tits

Am I the only one who just can't seem to shoot someone in the dick? I'm on my second play through and I've done alot of Anarchy as well as a few echoes and I still haven't been able to pull off a single dick shot. I want to clear all the skillshots on this playthrough but the dick shot seems to be standing in my way. So I can't do it while they're in the air after a kick/slide?

n/m I guess actual dick shots aren't a skillshot but killing them after it is one, got it down

the mag works nicely

That depends on which type of shot to the balls you're going for. Nutcracker with the sniper rifle can be done in the air but the Mercy shot has to be done on an enemy on the ground and followed up with a kick or shot to the head to count. If its Mercy you're going for just be precise using iron sights and make sure the first bullet that hits gets them in the balls otherwise they'll go into a stagger instead.

Perhaps the game is very slyly trying to advocate against steroid use by implying the tiny, shriveled dicks that result.

This is now the greatest page of this thread by far, and Bulletstorm is cemented as legendary after reading dick shooting strategy. LOL!

Ok so I'm borrowing this game from gamefly and heard there is a multiplayer mode called Anarchy. How do I get to it cause I can't find it and does it work with split screen?

Just finished Bulletstorm and no question it is now one of my favorites FPS. Just fucking fun all the way to the fucking end like FPS from the past were. And a FPS has not made me bust out laughing in a long time and this did plenty of times.

I now HAVE to play it on PC to see it maxed out once it gets cheap. Worth it alone for the single player and I hope it gets a follow up even with the mediocre sales which is shame as this game is really, really good.

Also am I the only one that thinks that female that joins the squad looks like Gianna that big tit porn star?

It's on the main menu right beneath Echoes mode; it's hard to miss. Ufortunately, there's no splitscreen online Anarchy mode if that's what you're implying.

I beat it on Wednesday on Normal, will do my Very Hard run next. It was pretty good and the ending implied a sequel, although it was a predictable ending. I missed 10 skillshots. Particularly, I don't know how to pull off a couple of them such as the Quick Draw 2 enemies in the head in rapid succession and one while an an enemy is thumped among others and the one where you have to kick an enemy into a swarm of electro flies. I'll be willing to play Anarchy mode now that I'm done with the game (360 version). I didn't experience any glitches on my run. Except I thought
trying to shoot the helicopters with RC T-Rex was a pain in the ass and it felt kind of buggy trying to get the hits to register.

Finally got around to starting this. I'm at act 4.

I'm not even much of a shooter fan, but I'm having a blast with the whole ludicrous-ness of it all. The back and forth between Gray and Ishi is often hilarious.

Not a single ball shot yet and oh God how I've tried. Will try the strategy above.

"You'll Kill our dicks? What does that even mean? I'll kill YOUR dick!"

Good times.

I need to play through a second time whenever I get a chance. I played through Single-Player once and enjoyed it. Got 3-stars on all levels in Echo Mode. Still need to do a second run though. Whenever I find time to return to it, I will!

Ball shots were hard for me as well. On my second run around I was blowing them off with precision.

Haha, was just thinking the same thing after posting a strategy for shooting someone in the junk.
It was made even better by how formal and unironic you were with your description. So plainly-stated for being nutshot strategy. Bravo!

Weird, 2-2 is a cross-platform glitch. I also lost the vault jump prompt, in addition to another hard freeze during a failed elevator sequence. I died, and my 360 froze. This has been the most glitchy game that I've been willing to play through in... ever, maybe. Save for a few old PC games, perhaps.

I just finished the campaign on Very Hard tonight. The first half of 7-1 is fucking brutal. There's no bones about it. I felt awesome coming out of it, but the rest of the game felt tame in comparison. I think I died twice after that. It definitely could have been rebalanced - then again, I went into a "fuck this shit, I'm finishing this game tonight" mode. Cut waaaay back on the unnecessary skillshots.

Sequel or not, I'm happy with Bulletstorm. It was good looking the whole way through, and I intend to mop up a few achievements over the next few days or weeks.
Overall it's not that glitchy, but it is quite annoying when it is. -_- I just started a very hard run. I don't expect chapter 7 to be very fun.

What's up with Epic Games and having large dead zones? >:| Then again, it's probably the default for the Unreal Engine. More importantly, why the frak can't I shoot with the triggers? This shit is inexcusable. What's also inexcusable are the (badly) compressed prerendered cutscenes.

Of all the games on my current 360 profile, none have given me as much technical problems as Bulletstorm. The only game that has given me more problems on the 360 at all was Fallout 3, but it was so bad I wasn't willing to continue playing. Many games will have one or two technical issues, but I could come up with a dozen incidents with Bulletstorm's SP.

But there's dick-shooting, so I can look past those flaws.

I've just finished it and I guess I just wasn't feeling the game overall.
Individual set-pieces were fun and I enjoyed few of the weapons (boneduster and the flail gun), skillshots felt fresh and all, but just something about the way the game moved and controlled bugged me and I can't really put my finger on it.
And the constant swearing/wisecracking, fuck me, just dial it back for a moment or the whole shtick (I'm not opposed to dick jokes, but none of those in Bulletstorm even had me smiling, not to mention laughing at loud) just gets tedious and annoying really fast.

Nah. Even the foul language is masterfully executed in this game. What a gem.

I think it took me around 8 or so hours. A too day game if you have enough free time.

it should be savored, though

I don't work next week, my wife works, and since I am having my first baby in a couple of months this is probably my last week for quite a while where I can play games all day if I want. I need to take advantage!

nice, well sounds like you should pick up a copy of Bulletstorm as well as a 30pack of Miller High Life and enjoy the last week of freedom you'll have for the next 18 years or so

Beat this game in one sitting last night. What a blast it was killing people in this game. Very top-notch stuff.

Shooting someone in the butthole was the hardest shot I had to do though. Could never get it right--only did it maybe twice.

I'd say 8 hours on Normal if you take in all the vistas, search for fireflies and newsbots etc. Took me 6 hours when I was simply just beating it a 2nd time. It's not the longest game ever made, but it's still one of the most fun.

Really? The mid-bosses were designed to be killed this way. Stun them, run around them, kick the buttplate off and fire away into their asshole. Then sit back and listen to the death-fart.

Finally activated the online pass. These additional echoes kick ass in a big way. Also finally nailed the "25 skillshots in one Echo" achievement.

Ripping their heads clean off is more amusing.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
I couldn't stop myself from using the charged drill to the chest + kick on the minibosses after I got it.

I was able to pull those buttplates off since the leash has insane auto-aim, but hitting them there was tough. I mostly just raped them to pieces with the various weapons.

One thing this game could have done a LOT better though was more creative weapons.

Come on...assault rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle, pistol?

Let's get creative here...

There's a drill weapon that lets you impale secondary targets. There's also a weapon that launches bouncing grenades, the secondary fire of which launches a bouncy trap of death that can be kicked and leashed around. And then there is the leash, which can be used by itself (to, say, rip the head off of a weakened boss) or in combination with any of the weapons.

Come on. Whatever they lack in core creativity they more than make up for in terms of interactive uses.

Is it just me or is there something weird about the mouse aiming? I've always used inverted , but for some reason it just doesn't feel natural and I feel like I'm fighting it all of the time like I would on another game using non-inverted aiming.

^ I don't play inverted, but the mouse controls felt very smooth for me. I played with auto-aim and lock on disabled, if that makes a difference.

I would suck a dick for more weapons through DLC. It has a pretty good set already, the Flailgun is amazing, but I would shamelessly waste my money on a few more crazy weapons. Maybe something like the Cerebral Bore for Turok but for dicks instead.

There's a good chance that it's just been so long since I've used a mouse as a gaming control input, that it's just burned into me as a pointing device now.

Download the config editor and disable mouse smoothing.

Thank goodness it may not have to come to that on the former, eh?

But you couldn't screw with the weapons like how you're describing. It would unbalance the dick-shooting mechanics that are already well entrenched. You'd have to think of something creative that doesn't involve making it easier to pop one into someone's family jewels.

I'm more of a fan of the asshole shots myself, much classier. When it comes to choosing where to shoot your average punk, I feel that the back passage is truly the connoisseurs choice. *adjusts monocle*

But the dick shot is the Bengal Tiger of Bulletstorm! Surely you recognize that it's coveted rarity alone makes it the most prized shot of all! *adjusts top hat*

You have a good point sir. However the circumstances a dick shot can be done in are limited compared to the sheer versatility of the butthole blast. The subtle but complex combinations one can achieve with it appeal to the Bulletstormer with a more experimental palate for slapstick violence I feel. *sips wine*

Played it up to the second act today.

The action is INTENSE and the production value is unbelievable coming from where it does. I think the skillshots are actually distracting me from having fun a lot of the time, though.

I plowed through the rest of Echo mode yesterday, but I'm still short an Enforcer achievement. That's the one which requires 15,000 points in a single Echo round. If you really want to broaden your creative killing horizons, go for this one achievement if nothing else. I played on the demo map, and I've brought my score from about 9,000 to above 14,000 points. I probably spent an hour plus doing this on my own, just figuring out how to maximize my points. I thought I was creative before, but I had no idea! It might just be a matter of perfecting the run, since I'm actually scoring in the 12,500 - 14,400 range pretty consistently.

After I get that, I'll mop up the Red Barrels, I Might Be Late, and Golden Idol SP achievements. Performing every skillshot might take a bit of time to figure out, but the first two are simple replays on easy. I couldn't be bothered to attempt them on Very Hard, not without my sanity intact at least.

After those, it'll be time for a dip into Anarchy mode!
