This thread shows why most publishers don't do demos anymore.
Please the demo was the main reason this game got as much hype as it did (on here at least). Let''s not kid ourselves.

I still really enjoyed the beta and picked up the game but with my current backlog I don't see any reason to pay $60 for the game when it will likely be on sale for $40 on black friday.
Are people saying that? There's probably 3 more.do you really believe they gave us all the earth missions in beta?
People...keep your expectations in check and wait for release...right now there is no solid/concrete confirmation it's the case and we're still over a month from release.
People expect things based on the information given. If some people were expecting more than one area per planet and others not, it suggests the former had less information than the latter.I don't see how different internal expectations means it's someones fault for being disappointed in the amount of content.
Are people saying that? There's probably 3 more.
And yet people will preorder the game based on that...
lovely.

I knew Bungie's been working on Destiny for about five years, and a lot of that went into building a new engine. From that alone I knew one area per planet seems reasonable.

What is everyone problem?
Are you not bored of earth yet?
If you want to go explore earth so badly here is a tip:
Open your real life door and step outside and go explore it!!!

Ehhh... I put in 20+ hours between the alpha and beta, which Bungie said represents about 10% of all the content. Considering they didn't show everything available on earth, I'm okay with this. Bummed, but a decent amount of content.
I very much doubt that, the moon mission was continuation of the last Earth mission.
Edit:Beaten
When was I talking about people's assumed hours of enjoyment from Destiny? It's a completely illogical argument. Someone can expect 1 or 5 hours worth of content from a game based on the information coming out. Personal interpretation can do that. That doesn't make that expectation any pointless. It doesn't work like that.
Are we sure of that? The sample moon mission picked up at the level right after the last earth one.
I very much doubt that, the moon mission was continuation of the last Earth mission.

That's my point. Some people on the other hand, are simply saying that people who are dissapointed by this, shouldn't be, because hey, they played the beta for 20 or whatever hours, that means they now expect to get 80-100 hours out of Destiny, and that is clearly more than enough in their mind, and therefor it's also enough for everyone else
If people think that one zone per planet/moon is more than enough for them, based on what they got out of the beta, great, good for them. Just don't tell other people that they are wrong for being dissapointed
I was hyped after the beta, but that sounds like a serious lack of content, I might hold off on buying it for now.
I've seen bad posts but this one is on another level.
Holy shit. I can't..
This is an epic thread.
Let's play the first 4 missions in Almost ANY game then turn it off because fuck.. Those mission we're short

Ah that sucks. I guess we're going to see a lot of dlc then
We are sure about absolutely nothing, which is why I don't understand why a lot of people are freaking out about this.
There are closed off areas in the beta that you cannot get to and we only go to about 66% of the map for Old Russia, that would imply there is more things to do that we haven't seen yet.
Also its a beta, many things will be different in the final version.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
This whole game seems to have been made with DLC and huge profits in mind for Activision. I fully expect the final cost of the game, when you include all the DLC to be in the hundreds of dollars.
Thanks, but no thanks!
Dude, this thread is litterally about how there is only 1 zone per planet in Destiny. And everything we know says there is only 4 planets/moon in the game. 1 of 4 is 25%
Any word on how many strike missions there will be? One per planet? Two per planet?
Holy shit. I can't..

I heard one.

The amount of content is disappointing, but the lies make me really angy.
What about Chicago? What about Mumbai?
What about "see these mountains? - you can go there".
Not cool Bungie, not cool.
"Beta" usually means the content in a game is complete and they are only doing minor bug fixes.
I won't touch his other points but all of the missions are like 10 minutes. They're MMO caliber throwaway fluff. It's not even comparable to a more traditional FPS experience.
I think people we're expecting that which, per my earlier point, is causing this backlash.
You'll go there
In an expansion pack!
So we can't go back to earth?
