Ugh.
Well, here's hoping. I'd be more excited for it than Fallout 4, namely because I could finish it in under 30 hours instead of 200+.

Why not ? You don't have to buy them. It makes sense especially if you're going to have a sequel on that console and have the whole collection on the console. They're for people who loved the games and or never played it, like I said they're not forcing you to buy it. Not to mention most of the time they're done by a specialist porting studio.
Because I loved the original Dishonored and I want to play it again on the PS4?

So Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio will take the stage together during Bethesda's conference, Raphael will start by talking in french and be interrupted by Harvey. They were talking about adding a few more french sentences to the script so that Raphael could talk longer in order for Harvey's interruption to feel more natural.
That's what we can gather from this bit of audio. Though now they might change it since we've heard it, would be fun
Also, there's the possibility that whoever recorded that started recording only *after* hearing mention of Dishonored and that's why it isn't here. But even without that it's pretty clear I think. Hope we also get to see a glimpse of what Arkane Austin is doing, though it's probably early.

It doesn't seem likely we'll get anything more than a CG trailer, though. Which will be useful because I have no idea where the series will go after the first game, but could be a while before we get gameplay.

i just cant fukin wait. gameplay wise it was the best fps campaign i played last gen, it blows deus ex, halo etc. out of the water
this was a big problem. the game shines when u do crazy shit like this or this but they force u to sneak around. i played the game mostly as stealth but my word are the guns and sword satisfying to shoot. they really captured the feel of stabbing someone or blowing a head clean off with shotgun.
A new IP seems unlikely since, in Raf's words, it would be "adding risk to the challenge of growth." Arkane has changed a lot since Dishonored shipped. Producer Julien Roby joined 2K, the lead environment artist is at Hangar 13, presumably Viktor Antonov is still working on Battlecry, and the studio has been split into a two project studio (so loads of new hires).

Keep in mind Dishonored (DLC excluded) released about two and a half years ago. It's been awhile, the studio has expanded significantly, and Prey 2 didn't enter the picture until later. And even then that's being headlined by Austin.
The timing is probably just right for Dishonored 2. Guaranteed to exist as another one of those worst-kept-secrets kind of things. Bethesda already outright said they consider it a franchise and want more. Enough time has passed for it to exist in a state where, at the very least, teaser trailers can hit. I don't necessarily believe Dishonored 2 will be fully exposed at E3, but it's a good platform to make its existence formal.

The first one was a great stealth game with some pretty nice world building to boot.
I'd love to see what other great powers Arkane can come up with. Summoning rats to eat the dead bodies of guards was just too much fun.
