MUCH better list, with much more variety and genres than the first game. Liking that there are some classic electro artists (Newcleus, Malcom McLaren), oldskool house (Robin S, Nightcrawlers), and some modern dance staples.

360 Renegade Edition is only 64 dollars on Amazon right now. I really wanted to play the original but like you didn't bite because of the price. Is it worth it guys? Should I bite at 64 dollars or wait for the sequel?

Didn't notice this! Artist list seems a lot better and diverse than the first one, it was really the only thing that kept me from buying it. There's about 10 artists here I actually listen to often. Just hoping the songs for each artist aren't going to be the obvious ones as the first one seemed to be, or at least for the artists I was familiar with. I'll be disappointed if they go with keep it going louder for Major Lazer, or Paper Planes for M.I.A. again. Don't think it's possible to mess up Basement Jaxx, I like every song by them. Hopefully MSTRKRFT + N.O.R.E. means Bounce is one of the tracks!

Party play looks OK with the drop in/drop out. Other than that I didn't think any of them were that interesting.

I would have liked to have seen something more freestyle, like the mode in Amplitude where you laid notes down yourself and the other guy had to match them. Oh well. There's just not that much creative leeway in music games anymore.

Disappointed there's no La Roux (Was really hoping to see some awesome "Bulletproof" mash-ups, especially since Major Lazor is already there), but it's really hard to argue with how awesome this list is.

I'm legit cracking up at the folks who are like EW LADY GAGA, EW SOULJA BOY. The game is pop through and through. That's the essence of mash-ups. There are plenty of songs and artists I hate who are part of mash-ups I love (see: "Party and Bullshit"). DJ Hero is probably the one music game where you really shouldn't turn your nose up at potential songs.
