Do women see extremely muscular men the same way men see anorexic women?

oh get stuffed. Seriously. I don't want to say anything else and get myself banned, but I cannot deal with this crap any more.
*sigh* Yeah, I should have known this is the response I would get from you. But I was expecting some decent feedback after the questionable comments you made. But that's fine.

Word of advice though, next time don't overreact to a silly throw away comment on the internet and try to apply it to real life situations. You'll have an easier time enjoying your self that way. You can definitely trust me, I've been doing this internet thing for a while now.

I can tell. The 'would' mentality has really rubbed off on you. Next time why don't you have a think about the kind of persona you project when you come into a thread asking women a question and respond with 'wow I'd bust a nut in that!'. Like I said, you wanna go look at porn google is right there waiting for you in the next tab. I shouldn't have to deal with your horny teenager bullshit.

Can we get back to the topic now please?

This thread was about what women find attractive in a guy's body, and what happened to the musclehead mentality went to its extreme, compared to the extreme of getting thin and anorexy.

There was absolutely nothing in there for such an hijack from FitnessGAF (where they outright told someone "Who cares about what women think regarding this", in a fucking thread meant to understand what women think) or posting pics of hot fit girls (which started with someone, out of the blue, literally saying "Enough hot dudes! Hot girls!").

Bububut the majority of GAF is straight and male. Yeah so fucking what. Why don't you go hijack TransGAF, GayGAF or BlackGAF and change whatever they're talking about with your issues, since they're obviously far more important?

Serious question, would you guys get mad if every time there's a hot girl thread it turned into women posting hot guys?

I didn't say it was appropriate, I just gave him the straight answer because he was playing dumb.

You guys can continue getting enraged at the incredible injustice brought upon this thread.

No, fair enough, you didn't say it was appropriate. But you also didn't specific the actual answer, which is that straight males think that everything in the world should be about them.

Here are the fourth and fifth replies to this topic:

I think your premise that most men agree on their ideal female body type is incorrect, as is your assumption that most women share similar taste
False (in relation to the assumption of male preference)

It was always going to end up with pictures of women that closer reflected the preferences of some posters as well as pictures of men of varying builds. This isn't a 'hot guy' thread that got hijacked, 'hot guy' and 'hot gal' threads aren't even allowed on here.

Seems like there's some gender issues or other simmering constantly at the moment.

At least we have the rest of the world to constantly remind us that we're bad people for being the default majority!

But it wasn't a post a hot guy thread..it was a post an ideal male body type thread and some men posted their opinions as well if you want to get specific it asked for women's opinions so why aren't you bringing up gay gaf posting pics of what they felt was their ideal which was already off topic? What's the harm in that? Couldn't people have just commented on them as well and expanded the conversation? I don't think it's right to shut up the women and make their opinions worthless. That isn't what I did. I just posted what I felt was my ideal in a thread about ideals to add to the conversation. Gaf is just really angry and aggressive now. I don't see the need for so much conflict honestly.

Why do you bother? They need a place to feign some outrage man, just let them do it in this thread so it doesn't stink up any others.

It is though, it's bleeding across the entire site. As a horny, straight, white male with a massive appreciation for tits, I'm half expecting to be sentenced to a re-education camp until I admit that Alyx from Half-Life 2 is the ideal woman.

Hell, read the first paragraph in the OP. Simply based on that, discussion of both "ideals" is on topic since any posts addressing that comment would be addressing the OP.

Maybe it will be one if those woman dominatrix prisons you see in those old movies.

Uhm, alright, it's true. If someone makes generalizations I understand why you'd want to clear it up. My main problem was with FitnessGAF invasion, and how the whole posting girls thing started with "Too many hot guys, hot chicks with muscles now!" not "That's bullshit, I find fit women hotter than just thin", but alright.

And this isn't a hot guy thread, but it is a thread where the main point was knowing what women find attractive, so the intent is the same.

I'd ask you, but I figure you're busy in other 5 threads doing the same.

So I commented on a sexy gif that was posted here. Big whoop. It happens.

I just wanted to know how a throw away internet comment about a beautiful woman correlates to why women avoid gym areas. Which you could never properly articulate. All you've managed to do was spew ad hominems whenever your questionable comments were challenged.

But yes, by all means, enjoy the rest of the thread. I wont respond to you anymore. It's clearly getting us no where.

On the topic of "too much muscle" I can see where some people might think the "past natural muscle" can be too much, but I would wonder why exactly it would be too much for them. Aesthetics? Intimidation? I truly would wonder if anyone in this thread would turn down a "supplemented" past "natural" body builder if given the chance to be with one. I very, very, seriously doubt it.

You seem like you're trying to fight for no other reason but because you can.

Do you realize you're derailing the thread by continuing this? You're adding nothing to the conversation, even the on topic "what I prefer in females" posts. Hell, you're derailing it worse.

As for the post you're complaining about, that was mine and I think you need to re-read it. Yes I did post a load of women, but I also said those were my "ideal" in reference to the op. You're right though, I did make a comment about the thread being full of dudes, but that was in reference to the GayGAF takeover (and their pics) which you seem to believe was off topic too. So it is what it is. Seems you need to calm down and find something better to be pissed off about and maybe you can see you're being a worse derailment than anyone else was.

Edit: For the record, I've said to you what I'm going to say. I won't take any more part in the further derailment of this thread (I'm sure the mods think I've done enough since I did post some fitness stuff earlier on), so anything you say addressing this post will go unanswered.

I only like some muscle on females, like toned abs and the like but thunder-thighs, and dat pic? so gooood. Looking at that pic made me want to bust a....move.

I think they prefer some muscle but not too much. Too many veins can be gross. Hell I think my veins are gross. If I didn't have huge man titties when I was obese I would totally go for a lean body type. As i am though I have to fill it all in.

I guess you missed out on the constant hijacking of girl-gaf :p

Hey, its not that most of us don't have an appreciation for nice breasts, its just that there's a time and place for it.

So I commented on a sexy gif that was posted here. Big whoop. It happens.

Yeah, it does happen. It shouldn't. Every single thread should not have to revolve around how hot a woman is - regardless of the context. I'm am so goddamn tired of hearing about it. And people like you continue to shit up threads because you can't think about anything but your dick. Take it elsewhere. All you've done in response to any of the comments aimed your way have been A. feign ignorance about what is wrong with perving on women whenever, B. tell me I must be new to the internet (gee, great comeback), and C. say in as many words 'Imma look at titties whenever I want, cause of biology and stuff, so deal with it'. My comment was a throw away one about not liking being ogled. That you refuse to understand that speaks volumes. There, now I've gone and fallen for your troll. I hope you're happy.

So you're accusing me of being an ogler because I expressed my desires to have sex with a random beautiful woman on the internet.. I mean really? Are you new to this whole internet thing or something? And who the hell says they want to bust a nut in someone while they're out and about doing their daily business? Who does that? Has this happened to you or something? I doubt it. Do you assume that I would say this to a woman in real life because I said it on a forum abut a random beautiful woman anonymously? Again, did you just start visiting internet forums?

And your fear of the gym seems pretty irrational to me. I've gone to numerous gyms in my life and I've seen plenty of women doing their business there just fine with no problems. Now that's not to say there aren't creepy motherfuckers here and there, but I seriously doubt it's some huge epidemic. And I can promise you more men are ogling you at the beach, poolside, and while you jog than at the gym. Guaran-damn-tee it. If you fear being looked at that much you shouldn't even leave the house.

And what's your problem with men checking girls out anyway?? Why is everything "ogling" to you? You really expect men to spot a beautiful girl and not have sexual desires? That's biology my friend. I agree there are bounds of reason when it comes to how much you stare and gaze, but you seem put off by the mere notion of a guy taking a peak at any girl in any situation and will automatically deem it "ogling". Which is pretty ridiculous.

Damn man, way to lack empathy. Here's the thing. Everyone wants to be wanted, that's fine. Everyone has drives and desires, that's fine too. But people want to be wanted on their terms, by people who fire their desires, not by every swinging dick they walk past making comments.

It's not YOU women are afraid of, it is the physical power combined with a seeming difficulty in restraining yourself from offending people. You in the general sense, not Forceatowulf.

As for the correlation between internet behaviour and real life, you have already admitted you were more of a dick because you were anonymous, implying (not meaning) it is only the shame of being exposed that makes you act with manners. I don't think it is unreasonable for people to extrapolate from forum behaviour to general behaviour. How many trolls do you think are really genuinley good people in real life? They're probably dicks there too.

And anyone with any sense hates being at the gym and stared at, unless you are are pretty damn confident it is not easy to take it as a compliment!

Uh, I'm pretty sure that the topic is

Do women see extremely muscular men the same way men see anorexic women?

I'm not quite sure where male perspectives on muscular or fit women come in.

Also, some of you are outright assholes, goddamn.

Good Job Bob said:

Are those women anorexic? Are anorexic women being discussed?

I was looking forward to the female perspective on this sort of thing because... well, it's interesting and you don't get to see the female perspective on this board too much. Somehow we got inundated with posts that tell women to deal-with-it when to comes to gym oogling, appealing and fit women, and why men should go all out at the gym.

:/

Edit: I'm putting in what you posted so people know what I was responding to.

Your further derailment is more damaging to the topic then men giving their perspectives. Plenty of women gave their opinions. Go read some.

What the fuck happened to this thread? I thought it was supposed to be asking women what they thought about muscular men, not a bunch of muscular men getting defensive and telling women their opinions are irrelevant, a bunch of guys posting pictures of muscular or bikini clad women, or guys telling each other which women they'd fuck in disgusting and inappropriate terms.

Can we get backthis track? this thread demonstrates why women often shun Internet forums.

I did, and I hope to continue to do so by encouraging them to post.

The topic of men posting in this thread has been beaten to death the last two pages. It's pretty much been covered and there is nothing left to say on that front. If you wanna keep going on about it I'm sure someone else will muster up the energy to argue about it for another page and further derail the topic you hold so dearly.

This is interesting. Pictures of large, muscular men are posted in this thread, and eventually, the female perspective being posted is one of fear and anger, feeling that men in the gym view them as sex objects. I wonder what other negative stereotypes women associated with physically active/ muscular males?

Here's a question for the ladies, to those who do not care for this type of physique, if you were dating a man who is skinny/bigger/etc and he decided to take it on his own to transform himself into a lean, cut, guy or someone he got interested in bodybuilding and started to train, how would you feel? Personality wise, he doesn't change but physically he is going through this transformation. Would you encourage it? Express concern? Be self conscious about yourself?

Yes it's aesthetically ugly imo. When it comes to most things in life usually extremes are undesirable.

In terms of bodybuilders, I'd choose a body like Frank Zane over Ronnie Coleman any day.

Except I'm not saying you have to choose between the two. I'm saying if the person actually had a chance to be with a body builder (like Coleman or Cutler) in "real life" I doubt they would turn them down. Many might "say" they would in this thread, but it's highly unlikely given the opportunity they would actually do it. That's my opinion of course.

What are you basing that opinion on though?

Body builder muscles are so unappealing to me that I would never consider the guy in the first place. Someone transforming into that over the course of a relationship would be different, but that's not what you're suggesting.

Because aside from the rest of the population those people are still "fit" and "fit" people are attractive. They still beat what "most" people look like and what "most" people end up dating/marrying.

They are aesthetically better than what most of the "fish in the sea" look like, and thus I doubt the average person would "turn them down" based on "too much muscle."

I see the thoughts in here about body builders the way I see people who comment on better than average women (or even very attractive women) as "4/10" when the woman is actually way out of their league.

The type of women I see that date powerlifters aren't very classy at all. Just an observation from what I've seen around me. They're just as tattoo'd up with fake breasts as their boyfriend/husband (withouth the fake breasts of course).

Muscly guys, why are you enraged that some girls say that they are not attracted or do not find your type interesting? Live and let go. So they are not attracted to that type. There's no need to convince them that they should be attracted to you/that type. Especially not by ridiculing other guys who are not as jacked. You're just confirming the awful stereotype of muscly guys by doing that. There will be women who appreciate your type of physique. So give the girls here some space to say what kind of male physique they like. Without rudely interrupting them by saying that they don't know what they're missing or that their opinion is irrelevant.

Either you're trolling, I'm missing what you're referring to, or your comprehension is busted.

I haven't seen anyone post "enraged," nor have I seen anyone trying to convince anyone of what they should be interested in (or interrupting women and telling them what they should like, or that their opinion is irrelevant). What I have seen is people addressing the op in the blanket statement of what men and women like, and people addressing the definition of "muscly/ripped/etc."

This thread is also full of "I'd take these Brad Pitt over Jay Cutler" comments, and that's not realistic. Which is my point. The idea I'm saying is if one of those body builders expressed interest in a "normal" setting I highly doubt they would be turned down.

Edit: And yeah, it is my opinion, I admitted as much. But this entire thread is a discussion of opinion. ;)

The idea isn't ok, Pitt and Coleman come up to you, now you get to pick.

Why is that not realistic? The average man is much closer to Pitt than Cutler or Coleman (both of whom I had to Google - gross).

If either of those bodybuilder men approached me (and no one else for the rest of my life approached me), I would absolutely turn them down.

I would say the average man (which is increasingly obese) is as far away from Pitt as they are Coleman.

Also, the images you see of Cutler/Coleman competing are not how they look regular, although they are still monsters. They will look better than the average Joe IMO.

I find it hard to believe you would actually turn them down, but obviously I would be an idiot to say definitively you wouldn't.

That's the problem, you don't seem to understand the subjectivity of aesthetics, or that people may be attracted to something other than a specific body type.

A fair amount of your posts in the thread was about how amazing you look and how you have a body that the women love and how perfect it is. Playing around or not, it became rather annoying which turned off a few posters.

And there always be an argument about 'aesthetic vs functional' . That's just how it is.

That's not the case at all. I've never said someone should only be attracted to body builders. I'm saying that body builders aesthetically are better looking than the average person and the probability of them being turned down over an average person" is unlikely (in my opinion of course). I absolutely understand there is variation in what people want, look at my first post in this thread, I address that.
