Why so aggressiveAny of you could have spent five minutes finding it, but you didn't. Is that because you're stupid? Who's to say.

Did Dolphin devs ever write a blog post about Wii and Gamecube similarities and how easy/hard it was to get Wii support up and running?
I didn't think the Wii Shop Channel was still active.
I made a mistake...started Xenoblade Chronicle with my DSP Sound Engine as LLE instead of HLE. It is causing me issues with performance, but when I switch to HLE and try to load my save state Dolphin tells me it can't load a save state from another Dolphin version or some such. Is there any way around or am I screwed to have to restart?
Even if I used the game own save system, wouldn't I have to load up a save state that the main screen, then load from the game's own save? Or is that way wrong? Is there any reason in particular to not use the game's own save system instead of a savestate here?
Game saves should always work. Saved states on the other hand have a lot of fickle dependencies as they save the whole emulated system's state. Switch to game saves.Even if I used the game own save system, wouldn't I have to load up a save state that the main screen, then load from the game's own save? Or is that way wrong?
I guess I didn't realize I could actually utilize game saves without save states. Makes sense though now that I think about it...I'll definitely do this from now on.Game saves should always work. I'm tryin to get TP GC version to run in widescreen and I can't get it to work.. Anyone else have a step by step solution? I put a widescreen AR code in and selected it but still nothing. Not sure what else I could maybe try.
Did you tick "Enable Cheats" in the settings?
That Gargamel custom on Rock Band got me. Brilliant.New (April Fools) video: Retirement Tribute for JMC47
Incidentally there are custom textures that solve this issue.Wait, does the Wind Waker Widescreen AR code stretch the game or am I an idiot? What would be the point of a 16:9 mode then?
edit: Nevermind, it just stretches the HUD which led me to believe everything was stretched. Idiot confirmed.
Do you have a link to them? Hypatia's HD texture pack doesn't have 16:9 corrected HUD textures.Incidentally there are custom textures that solve this issue.

??? Async shader never has been part of Dolphin proper, there is nothing to look for. You may be thinking of the Ishiruka forks that implemented that.I can't for the life of me find the Async Shader option, it is not listed in the Hacks section which is where I've been instructed to look.
This should do well. It's the fastest CPU you can currently get in a laptop, and the GPU is good enough for just about any other PC game you might want to run.I'm thinking of buying a laptop primarily to run Dolphin. Budget is $1500.
Any suggestions/links? I would love high compatibility and might be able to go a bit higher.
Bonus points if it can emulate PS2 games too. Focus is Dolphin though.

Think this could handle dolphin and ps2 emulators?

You don't need a powerful machine to run dolphin. My old Lenovo i7/660m ran everything fine. I'd imagine any i5 with a gtx 1050 would kill any Dolphin game.

Here's a cheaper one with a 1050 Ti and 17 inch 1080p screen

Certain games are still gonna be troublesome though, like Rogue Leader, The Last Story and Xenoblade. Even an i7-7700K clocked to around 5GHz gets frame drops on those
Yes, the vast majority should run fine. PCSX2 should also be ok, as well as most current PC games.I care mostly about GameCube games.
This would do pretty well with the majority of them?

Check out the Gaming Laptop thread. Read the "I need a laptop" instructions in the OP, mention emulation, and you'll get something good.Looking to get a laptop also. My newest computer is from 2004..I was just about ready to pull the trigger on that Acer I linked, but would the MSI from newegg be a better purchase? I mainly care about dolphin, then ps2, and then running steam.
Maybe this one? $200 cheaper...
