Ended up getting sneak passes to check this out tonight. Haven't seen a trailer or anything. Thread has me hype for more than just a war movie.
Pretty excited. Christopher Nolan is one of my favorite filmmakers and this looks good.
Of which there are about 25 locations in the entire United States.

On another note, it has probably one of the finest musical scores I've heard in years.

Gonna see this tonight. I love all of Nolan's movies so I'm really excited. Petty, small Norwegian town with a small ass theater but whatever. Why make a film in a format that's not widely available though??
I don't live close enough to Oslo to go mid week I'm afraidColosseum in Oslo here. Not Imax, but pretty large screen compared to most.
If anyone is a Regal Crown Club member, they have 2 different 27x40 posters up that you can get with credits. They charge for shipping, but they're usually nice double sided posters.
Of course
Only the finest rooftops for my boyz

??? all sold out!
What were you expecting?I really don't know what I thought about it. I'm kind of flabbergasted because it was absolutely not what I expected, simply because of Nolan's name. The visuals and sound (especially the sound!) were incredible.
Some kind of mind fuckery or twist I guess. Keep in mind I basically went into it knowing nothing except it was a Nolan original film (as in not a franchise a la Batman) about World War II.What were you expecting?
The Dark Knight Rises came out 5 years ago today, and I get to see Dunkirk tonight at 7!
Eh, wasn't anything amazing. just a "regular war movie" in many ways.
Also the "Joker theme" from Dark Knight playing from start to finish could have used some breaks to give it more rhythm. Now it was just the same intensity throughout the whole film
Didn't much care for the characters besides the hotshot pilots.
