I don't think it was the case last year. We got interviews and trailers for XBLA games though.

Also, will it close for the whole days until Thursday or will it re-open between conferences? (First year GAF member here.)

Has it been confirmed it's going down yet? With the new servers I kind of wondered if they might give it a shot at staying open.

Would anybody be so kind as to make some kind of header for my thread? I'm not exactly the ideal person to do such things, and it would be great if someone could make me something nice.

Also, after thinking it over, I think the thread is going to be called 'E3 2011 Show Floor Media |OT|' and i'll include a section for pictures/videos of the show floor itself, in addition to listing media for all of the games.

Will there be dedicated threads for the live demonstrations/Q&As? I see EA are broadcasting their demonstrations and releasing new info. They are showing Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, The Old Republic, SSX and more.

Under the TOR page it says: "don't miss it, because we will NOT be archiving this chat!" So maybe we should do the 'archiving' here?

Yes, you should make a new thread for any live demonstrations you're interested in.

There won't be stickies since so many go on simultaneously, but new threads would be great.

Usually there's one. I was thinking maybe whoever does it could turn it into a general E3 feature/feed/podcast/etc thread with interesting stuff like RSS feeds, blogs and podcasts people like. Could include things like Nintendo's post-conference Iwata Asks site and Giant Bombcast and stuff.

Hmm...basically had about 4hrs of sleep and my it looks my main dream for the night was about preparation for E3 (pretty sure it was preparation for the press conferences)

When is Amir0x going to start the summary thread? We already got quite a few news out there (the Konami stuff, Prey 2 trailer, NGP stuff, etc..)

You guys could be cool and show the time lines for other regions. Gaf is a pretty big place, with people all over the world.

I think the summary thread is going to be mainly for the REAL conferences.

Let's be honest, the Konami "CONFERENCE" wasn't a conference at all.

I believe the conferences are only scheduled around E3 trade show for convenience, not obligation.

We need one these. There are just too many podcasts that come out this week and I'd like it if we had a thread to keep of all them.

^^Oh yeah, and the summary thread that is yet unmade and (I think) won't be stickied.

This is being handled slightly differently, in that a giant mega thread of (most) every game at E3 being listed alphabetically with links to coverage, trailers, demos, etc.
