I feel like I got in a time machine reading reactions like this. They really want this game to not sell don't they?
You're right.
To those curios about premium, here's what BF4's included.
20 maps.
4 extra game modes, 1 drastically different to the main game (air superiority).
48 assignments
22 weapons
8 gadgets
9 vehicles
And whole host of cosmetic crap.
If you buy this you are a moron.
My guess is that they have to get ready for battle front premium. Why only four expansions?
Will wait for Battlefront Premium.
Besides the weird amount of hate Premium gets (isn't this par for the course nowadays?) it has delivered excellent value for BF3 and BF4, more so than any other season pass or DLC collection.
it's not "cool to hate on DLC these days", at this point people are more than entitled to hate on d1 DLCs, stupid premium privileges, season passes of freshly announced games and similar disgusting policies that some/most of the companies do.I know it's cool to hate on DLC these days, but Battlefield 3 and 4 premium were very much worth it if you played those games a lot. Not sure what's wrong with it.
I've got no problem with substantial DLC like what is pumped out for Battlefield.
I only have a problem when a game is released whether it is ready or not and is broken for four months.
I don't know, you would think it does, but I don't think enough people end up in massive queues for it to matter, they just find another server. That's the beautiful thing about server browsers.

you paid for that and enjoyed all of it? Good for you, and surely calling someone a moron isn't nice nor too fair. but let's not pretend that hating on that way of thinking/doing is "the new trend", or that nothing is wrong with it.

Someone is a bit salty. If you buy this you are a moron.
I have no idea why people are surprised by this either.Well, the thing is that there are several posts in this thread expressing surprise and/or disgust at this move, when:
1) It should not surprise anyone familiar at all with BF3/BF4
2) It's unfair to compare Premium to your average DLC, as DICE/EA actually delivers a lot of content for $50
Not even in the days of Battlefield 2 would I expect 20 maps, 20 weapons, 10 new vehicles, new games modes, events, more customization, etc., to be free. IMO, they've done a good job providing enough value to validate $50.
That doesn't mean it can't be criticized or you can't be distrusting of EA/DICE for other reasons, of course. Day 1 DLC blows, server issues for months after release blow, poor server selection blows, etc.
Priority position in server queues
What the actual fuck. Disgusting, worse than Comcast, trying to spread this shit. Instant no-buy, I'll just pick up BF4 used.

Anybody who buys this, and thus supports it...man...I dunno. Fucking ridiculous.
Surprise. BF4 has it also. And alot more people have premium for that game. So you would notice it there more.
Priority position in server queues
Yeah, I can't remember the last time I actually had to use the queue. It's not Comcast Evil like how some of you who are ridiculously overreacting believe. It's the same in BF4 so you may want to instant no buy that also.
Not that it's actually a problem, just pick a server with enough room like any normal person or use the matchmaking. You'll never see a que in your life
I would imagine that Battlefront will have that too.How is the actual game? It looked stupid to me but I have not played it so thought I would ask.
The priority queue thing blows my mind...

I recall getting DLC for BC2 and it being like 20 bucks, but it was after the game was out and just once, not freaking 110 bucks when the game isn't even out yet.
Lmao. Only pay for the game twice to get all of the game! What a deal!
"Here's a quarter! Guys, we are running out of these fast! But if you call in now, you'll get a limited edition book with a sleeve for your quarter! It's a $0.75 value, that can be yours today for only $19.99!"
Serious question: what's the difference in paying for DLC at the time of release versus pre-paying for it at launch?
Paying for Premium ahead of the launch of all its content is basically a vote of confidence. The riskiest moment to do this was probably at BF3's launch, when the service was untested and completely new.
However, we now have a good idea of how much content we'll get with Hardline premium. Paying ahead of time for this content really isn't that crazy.
