EU PSN - January Sale is now Live

The nasty effect of PS+ is clearly showing for me.

Considering Brothers is on US PS+ it's almost a guarantee it will be a EU PS+ game in a couple of months and I already have a huge backlog.

However bought Ni no Kuni (even if it's very likely to be a PS+ soon) and will probably buy Tiger Woods (will never be a PS+ game).

Strange that EA joined Activision in not having a PS+ discount. Maybe we will not see EA games on IGC anymore.

So what's the general consensus regarding Muramasa? Is it a good port? How about difficulty and duration? Is the gameplay any good or does it become repetitive after a short while? I know that it's beautiful etc but I don't know if I will get bored after some time.

Oh, and how's the Jet Set Radio Vita version by the way?

Game is great, port is excellent, a must-have for Vita owners. Visually it's incredible, you think you've seen how good colors can look on the oled? Wait until you get a load of this. Art direction is incredible.
Gameplay is excellent, fast and fluid, I recommend going with the higher of the 2 available difficulties.

The games I bought during this sale:

1. Muramasa Rebirth
2. Need for Speed Most Wanted (vita)
3. Lego Harry Potter years 5-7 (vita)
4. Bioshock
5. Mickey's Wild Adventure (PS1)

If it wasn't for games I already have gotten like Brothers and Castle of Illusion, I'd have bought more games. Great deals.

I've bought:

Mirror's Edge
Burnout Paradise
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Muramasa Rebirth

And in the 12 days of Christmas sale:

Persona 4 Golden
The Walking Dead Vita
Killzone Mercenary

Ironically the only game out of all these I can actually play is Muramasa, because my Dual Shock 4 is broken and I can't play any PS3 games at the moment, and I've no room on my memory card so I can't DL anything else on my Vita.

castle of illusion hd is so good. like a studio secretly used a reimagining to make klonoa 3.

liking brothers a lot too. the control is very interesting and i love the storytelling, though most of the puzzles are a bit simple so far.

i think it'll take me a decade to clear space and download ninokuni.

Errrr, well I have to disagree on that. I really enjoyed it for what it is. Its not anything like the Burnout series. But it is good clean top-down car arcade fun.

More than fair. Perhaps saying it's hot garbage wasn't entirely accurate, but it's very disappointing in what it delivered when all they had to do was rip the Crash mode from Takedown, add some new events and sell that for £5...

Spec Ops The Line
Brothers
Tale of Xillia
Mirror's Edge

Especially very curious about Spec Ops The Line, have read some great impressions about the story.
From what I've played of spec ops so far, the gameplay is as generic as they come. I can't say much about the story, but so far it's your typical military bullshit.

I personally loved the demo, so I'm probably getting it at that price. On the other hand I don't like driving games; this simply isn't one, which might account for all the hatred it gets.

It's fascinating to me how people manage to avoid spoilers about games that have had their story talked about to kingdom come and back. In any case, according to GAF, suffice to say "typical military bullshit" is the point and you might want to keep playing.
Disclaimer: I haven't played Spec Ops.

Are Mass Effect 1/2 worth it?
I have ME3 thanks to PS+ (still haven't played it) and I'm kinda interested in playing the whole trilogy. But I heard the ending of ME3 is terribad, so I'm not sure if it's worth playing them lol

I'm also interested in Spec Ops: The Line, Tales of Graces f, Muramasa, Virtua Tennis and Harvest Moon. Yay/nay?

^yES they are in fact ME1 and 2 are considered better than 3.
However all your actions and stats/level from the previous game is carried over to the next, so anything you do in ME1 is reflected in 2 and the same from 2 to 3.

Just picked up Bioshock and Mass Effect - still thinking about getting:

Brothers
Crysis
Mirrors Edge
Tekken Tag 2
Anarchy Reigns
Puppeteer
Castle of Illusion
Alien Breed Trilogy

Are any of the Vita titles cross-buy? Really annoying how hard it is to spot those...

So I think i bought everything I wanted to buy.
Here's what I got.

Puppeteer
Crysis
Crysis 3 (I already own 2 on disc)
Mass Effect (I own it on 360, but thats packed away now forever)
Mass Effect 3 (Have 2 on ps3 disc)
NFS Hot Pursuit
Okami HD (giving it a second chance since the ps2 release as I couldnt get passed the horrible intro)
Tales of Grace F
Muramasa Rebirth

I think thats it.

Besides the ones I already own, Ive only tried Crysis.
This game is amazing, and its the ps3 version... Much better than 2

Just wanted to chime in and say that Brothers is 100% worth a buy after finishing it a few days ago.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this game. I knew this was going to be great the very moment I pushed the father in the wheelbarrow from the very beginning of the game. I was immediately drawn in. The overall atmosphere and the constant barrage of memorable moments were so consistent. Just one awesome moment after another! Where do I even start?!
The troll helping you, fending off the wolves at night, saving the guy from hanging himself, the section when the brothers were tided together with rope, all the dead giants, the chanting+sacrifice section, the canoe ride in the snow (holy remarkable graphics Batman!), the snow section at night, the spider reveal (when I saw her jump really high earlier I just thought it was poor animation and I thought they expected no one to notice the jump).
It's amazing how much quality they managed to cram into the game. The only slight negative I have is the ending. I was expecting more from the comments in here......I mean it was good but
I didn't even get close to crying like I thought I might.

Its not quite Journey levels of amazing, but the game was still a pleasure to play. Out of the three recent types of game like this that I've played I'd rank them like this: Journey >> Brothers >>>>>>>>>> The Unfinished Swan.

I agree very much. To me it's among the best 3 games I have played this year and among the best games I ever played. A somewhat nordic fairytale that evoked many emotions into me, not only sadness or laughter (the interactions of the little brother) but also reminded me of my childhood where I read all fairy tales I could find in the library, especially Grimm's. Some of them had frightening parts that Brothers reminded me of.

I cannot recommend this game enough.

Might grab Blacklist, it+AC Verdict day would come to like 30ish Pounds~

Not much new stuff added today, is there? :/

Is AC Verdict Day worth buying if I've already played AC5, could anyone say? Would like more AC, but don't want to be going X-Com Enemy Within here and buying a game that's mostly recycled content.

everyone go get Driver SF.
Extraordinary good arcade racer.

Was just gonna say the same thing.

How's the PS3 version of Mass Effect compared to the 360 version? Worth it, if I already played it on the 360?

Edit: I guess I should make it clear, I'm talking about the first Mass Effect.

Just realised there's no Unfinished Swan sale lined up. I find that mildly surprising, and disappointing.

I get the feeling that Puppeteer is likely to hit PS+ sooner than later - only reason why I didnt get it.

Got these instead:

Bioshock
Mass Effect
Brothers
Crysis

Missed Castle of Illusion :(

The PS3 have better performance and a toned down bloom effect (which I like). Overall, the PS3 version is more enjoyable to play. Still have some problems, though.

I double dipped at full price (€15) and don't regret it. :p

Thanks. Can I import my character model from ME2?

No.

Take note of the settings of your ME2 character model and copy them to the ME1.
