Probably because a lot of the PSP to Wii ports and PS2 to Wii ports that plagued the system in its early days did not sell very well.

Hcoregamer is wrong. Game could have been on 360 or Wii and moved to a handheld and I would still be pissed off. If you can't understand such a simple concept why, I can't help you.

And i doubt that we will get full voice acting on the psp version unlike the PS3 version which had full voice acting in both languages JP+EN and after you finish the game you get the full soundtracks albums unlocked, there is no way that the psp version can offer anything like that because of the limited UMD drive space
The psp version will be missions based and can chose many different missions from the start , it seems that it's missions will be small and maps wont be huge (Which fits for portable gaming)
But as you said anything is better than nothing :/
The valkyria on the psp version looks like a total freaking joke compared to selvaria

Honestly now that I look at it, I suppose it's more appropriate than proper designed models I suppose with the grid-based gameplay. Kinda mirrors the sprites in the DS games, not being correct in proportions either.
But damn it I wanted a proper Wii retail PMD game with the Shiren 3 engine, fucked I am.

What advantage will the actual game have (i.e. not sales age) by being on a portable if you don't game outside the house? If VC2 has to be on the PSP so that VC3 (or VC2) can be made, then so be it, but that's not an argument on why VC2 won't suffer a hit by changing platforms.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before in the thread but I think I know why it's releasing on PSP. It's coming out in Winter right? Isn't that when FF XIII is supposable coming out in Japan? I think they are scared to release a PS3 version the same time FF XIII releases.
Uhm, well... I do. I prefer it to play SRPGs on handhelds instead on homeconsoles. In my opinion handhelds are better suited for this genre (and when I think about it, are there any worthwile current gen SRPGs besides Valkyria and Radiant Dawn?
