Styles v Nakamura should be given 60 minutes, simultaneously run with WM's last three matches. How long since the last multi ring setup?

Zach, you've got to stop filming and grading people "wrestling".

Where's this Nakamura theory coming from? Is it meltz or wishful thinking?

It came from Angry Grimace.
Watch me take the WM card from shit to decent:

AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahonShinsuke Nakamura

Took me 20 seconds to type

Shane O Mac vs Nakamura

In a battle for national strong style superiority

"MAMA MIA Look at those lightning quick jabs from Shane O Mac, the King of Strong Style is getting knocked off his throne by the Western usurper!"

I included Nocturnowl's post because I love when Mauro yells Mamma Mia.

So, like, say I wanted to play the best wrestling game ever... what would it be?

Notes: I love Revenge (WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy are good, too). I've dabbled in Fire Pro Returns and thought it was kinda cool, but definitely prefer Revenge. Smackdown/2K games range from bad to decent to me. I love Fight for NY, but want something more grounded in wrassle reality.

Are there awesome Japanese games I can play somehow without involving emulation?

Don't forget about Def Jam FFNY.
🤔

Easy, young Zachary. Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, the AJPW AKI game that was released in Japan between Mania 2000 and No Mercy. Oh... misread the emulation part. In that case [shrugs]
Maaannn. Thanks anyway.

I actually do have a Dreamcast in one of my closets. This Giant Gram business will play on it? And it's good for a Revenge kinda guy?

P.S. I just watched some Day of Reckoning 2 gameplay and it looks pretty crappy. Too fast at the beginning and too much selling by everyone between every move by the end. The same exact "ow, my head" animation. Over and over.

Sephzilla, in a nod to Data West's username being an allusion to Data East, our tag team in the GWF will be known as Two Crude Dudes and/or Bad Dudes. Our finisher will be the Crude Buster.

DoR 2 is super fun to play.

A little Verbiage for your weekend

Braun Strowman demands competition, and Raw General Manager Mick Foley — try as he might — hasn’t been able to satisfy the goliath’s thirst for combat. That might all change this Monday night, however, when The Monster Among Men meets the 7-foot-tall Big Show one-on-one in the center of the ring.

Big Show is no stranger to Strowman’s superhuman strength, having been eliminated by the juggernaut in this year’s Royal Rumble Match. As for Strowman, he’ll be going up against a leaner, meaner Big Show, whom many would argue is in the best shape of his career. Will the veteran teach Strowman what it means to be a giant, or will The Monster Among Men pick up some massive momentum en route to his WWE Fastlane clash with Roman Reigns

This past Monday night, Bayley’s childhood dream came true when she pinned Charlotte Flair’s shoulders to the mat for the three-count and captured her first Raw Women’s Championship. However, it’s unlikely that dream included a last-minute assist from a friend, Sasha Banks, who attacked The Queen with her crutch moments before The Huggable One scored the pinfall.

Granted, The Boss was simply evening the odds after Dana Brooke rushed to ringside to aid Charlotte, but Bayley clearly had no intention of winning her first Raw Women’s Title under those circumstances based on her Twitter exchange with The Queen

Triple H’s “Destroyer” continued to live up to his moniker this past Monday night on Raw, ambushing Sami Zayn during a post-match interview, tossing him into the screen on the stage and locking The Underdog from the Underground in the dreaded Coquina Clutch submission hold.

The attack came after Zayn called Samoa Joe a “sellout,” alluding to The Samoan Submission Specialist’s association with The Game. As Zayn looks to gain momentum on The Road to WrestleMania, will he retaliate against Joe this Monday night, or will Joe’s destruction continue unabated

Cena's entrance walk with the championship up and his head down at One Night Stand '06 was great. His salute and shadow boxing are another story.

Watched Wrestling isn't Wrestling for the first time. I've heard Max's opinions of wrestling before and I thought this was a pretty good deconstruction of Trips.

Plus, he's not wrong.

Watched that WWE 24 on Mania 32, I didn't even realise this came out.

WWE's various packages sure make events look cooler and better than they actually were. I think from Vince's statement right at the start you can get the impression of why Wrestlemania is the way it is, it's like this jack of all trades with a huge market, as such taking a step back I actually get why it's not a non stop in ring tour de force (then again it rarely was).

And I'm actually kinda okay with that now, though I'll always be miffed at wrestlers being shortchanged in favour of Rock cutting promos about ROCK BABIES because a huge chunk of the live mania audience probably dig that more than the law should allow.
WM is pretty much spectacle and extravaganza more than anything else, the great matches sometimes sprouting up on the card are like a pleasant bonus if anything it seems.

With this mindset I'm kinda looking more forward to WM33 for what it is, even if the idea of Styles/AJ still blows absolute chunks (random question, pick your poison: Styles vs Shane or Styles vs...KANE).
Fortunately there's other events both in and out of WWE that more than deliver the whole tons of great matches events.

Other random musings
- I actually wonder if Trips/Reigns would've come across as a solid match if it weren't for the whole apathy surrounding it in concept. Hunter ran one hell of a mania schedule for that limp dick main event.

- Speaking of Trips at mania, I actually think the potential match with Seth could be good, just as long as they don't drag that out, Trips goes for matches way longer than he actually should more often than not.

- That feeling when Unabomb vs Taker at Smoky mountain wrestling was probably better than most Kane/Taker matches in the WWE.

Sagawa in yakuza is a TMF
Really? Sagawa?
I thought when we referred to someone being TMF it was like they'd beat the piss out of you himself when push came to shove, Sagawa as great as he may be never gave off that impression.
He's more heel authority figure, even when he gets his hands dirty it involve goons.

I included Nocturnowl's post because I love when Mauro yells Mamma Mia.

My man, Mama Mia is the best recurring commentary quote since the JR Lexicon.
My apologies to Yoshi Tatsu.
