Just standard Wrangler relaxed fit jeans. It's not too hard to fit in there.
Further proof.
are you serious lmao.

They're following on from the style of FF3 and FF4 DS which a lot of people also hated.
Like Final Fantasy is known for having wildly different art styles for each game, which is one of the reasons people love the series. So I don't understand they insist on sticking with this consistent, crappy art style.
I don't get why people think it's a port of the Pocket Edition. Wouldn't they just have announced it for the NS with the announcement today? It's gotta be a graphically lowered version of the PS4/XBO version of the game. Maybe even on a different engine. Still, it's something to look forward to and I'll be picking it up day one...unless for some odd reason they port over the chibi version. Too many Wii version flashbacks will prevent me from picking that up.
I... guess I can see the similarities? But these characters look like chibi people, they're kinda cute. The stuff for FFXV Pocket just looks so bad.
The textures would probably need to be cut in half just to run on Switch at all, so it sorta all works out in an odd way.To get the PS4/XBO version to even fit on the biggest switch cart they'd have to cut the filesize in half. That means cutting the texture budget way back. That's probably why it'd be easier to start with the pocket edition as base.

I mean duckroll has said it's going to be based on the chibi pocket edition, so don't ger your hopes up.
I'll let you find the quote, and its because he has heard things from the inside. Relatively unspecific things, but specific enough to say for sure that they're currently thinking about basing it on the pocket edition. When did he say this and how would he know that?
Post made as much sense as this:It's going to kick ass when it's the Pocket Edition with minor graphical tweaks, amiibo support to get Mario caps and the Master Sword, and a co-op mode where the left joycon is Noctis and the right joycon is Noctis with a hat
You also continue to say the Switch is barely more powerful than the PS3, so...I'll let you find the quote, and its because he has heard things from the inside. Relatively unspecific things, but specific enough to say for sure that they're currently thinking about basing it on the pocket edition.
Conjecture on my part: and the reason is clearly because SE live in the real world where FFXV, FFVII, KH3 etc are too demanding games for the Switch.
I said it months ago and I was right. The only way that game was coming to Switch was to compromise to the point it was essentially a different game. Woo, go me.
No I don't, I say it's PS3.33, as in its more powerful than the PS3 but it's not in the same league as ps4 and xbox one. Which is 100% true. You also continue to say the Switch is barely more powerful than the PS3, so...
I would THINK it'd be the Pocket edition, but when seeing the option with new assets I knew that I couldn't underestimate SE to be random and impractical, and voted for that.
Or demake it into a classic looking FFIV-FFVI appearance!
Thank you.No, the platform that's both appreciably faster than the PS3 with 8x the memory isn't a PS3 1.33, that's just idiotic. It's no PS4, but it's far and away outside the realm of last gen too.
PS3.33 as in slightly closer to ps360 gen than ps4one gen. Yeah that's on the ball. No, the platform that's both appreciably faster than the PS3 with 8x the memory isn't a PS3 1.33, that's just idiotic. It's no PS4, but it's far and away outside the realm of last gen too.

You can cherry pick stats to make you feel better all you like...
But show me all the current gen ports.

This is probably the thing I want most besides the full game on Switch with no downgrades. But that one ain't happening haha. This would be amazing and I'd double dip. Would take it over pocket edition in a heartbeat.

So you, like I am, are out then.
So you, like I am, are out then.
It'll be a new version with new assets and still somehow come out as worse than just porting Pocket Edition! It'll be the pocket edition and it'll look like ass just as it does now. People are better off confronting this now.

I bet the Switch can run a heavily downgraded version of FFXV but would it be worth it? Who would be satisfied with that version of the game?
At minimum I imagine textures would take a huge hit, poly count on character models would be scaled back, visual effects in combat removed, enemy counts reduced, among other compromises. And performance issues could still be present. Who would want to buy that game?
We don't know anything about this version yet. Not need in jumping to conclusions until we know for sure. I'm with you, though. If it's the chibi version, then I'm out. My wife is, too. I hope they don't go down that path, but I'm willing to hold my judgement until we know for sure. I'm cautiously excited at the moment. I just think that if it was the chibi version, they would have said it right then.
Yup. I'm out if its anything like the pocket versikn
Eh, that's generally wrong too. Between having much more memory, a modern maxwell GPU, and nvidia developed APIs, it would be closer to modern platforms than last gen ones, not that it matters given the gap anyway.
Ah, yes, the dastardly stats and information.
They're probably not happening since the handheld is slower than the PS4/Xbox One which I've always said is true.
Hey random stats to support my story
PS3 Gigaflops 200
Switch Gigaflops Docked 400
PS4 Gigaflops 1800
But of course these numbers don't tell anywhere near the whole story. The proof is in the games. And now more specifically the fact that we know at least one game that SE would like to port to Switch but can't, so are building it off a mobile game instead.
I would buy it. :|
I can't see Square passing off Pocket edition for Switch as an actual version of FFXV meant to be sold alongside the PS4/Xbone/PC versions without it backfiring in a major way. Who would that version be for?
Like I said, it's not good enough to get ports from other modern platforms, but that isn't the same thing as being a closer cousin to last gen.
No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that you are using numbers you don't understand to support a position that you have taken for...some reason. Brand loyalty?
- Well, not can't- won't.
- What you're illustrating with those numbers is that the Switch is a closer relative to modern platforms than older ones when mixing in the newer architecture, APIs, and greater memory.
