How are the PS4 controls compared to mouse and keyboard?
Any platform you guys recommend over the other?

Remember that part where you had to kick an exact pixel on a wall?
Did they fix that to be just a bit more generous?

It actually wasn't that bad, it's not a pixel but rather a baseball sized stone that you have to kick, using the remastered highlight function will help you see it if you are having trouble as well.Remember that part where you had to kick an exact pixel on a wall?

Played it multiple times back in the day on PC, played through the whole thing on PS4 yesterday and it felt great, no complaints. How are the PS4 controls compared to mouse and keyboard?

The Dig is ruined by the overly obscure and unintuitive puzzles.
I enjoyed it up until you land on the alien planet
I found a couple of locations where the interactivity-highlighter marks objects that aren't present until later in the game.
This scene doesn't quite look finished either... (late-game location)

For some reason, the newer images are at a different aspect ratio in these captures. The artwork hasn't changed though, apart from the resolution.
Did an update go up on GOG?
I paused it last night at 3 GB, but now I continue it and it is starting from 1 GB :S
No update showing for me.
Unless you're using GOG Galaxy, I hear updates come down faster with galaxy, but I still use the gog downloader instead.
Geez, Double Fine. What have you done (again)?
Did they redraw Ben from memory? I guess it's somewhat impressive if that's the case. Kind of a disaster otherwise.
Lol, cheats still work for the PC version.
I loved the old LucasArts classics of the 90s, so was delighted I finally got a chance to play this.
Embarrassingly, already stuck and I'm only at the beginning. :|
No shame, this is one of the worse lucas games puzzle-wise. Some of them are pretty obtuse, and the backgrounds often don't make clear things are selectable.
The remaster includes an option to show all hitboxes I think, which may help you. I don't really like that option in P&C games though, it's like a tacit admission from the developer that they messed up.
Gamecentral just gave the remaster 6/10, noting many of the issues raised in this thread (only the art is an issue specifically from the remaster though)
http://metro.co.uk/2017/04/20/full-throttle-remastered-review-easy-rider-6585452/ (contains one small puzzle solution)
There was a commentary comment about inputting a birthday into theto get an easter egg. Anyone know more about it?safe
That would be perfect, thanks.Ah. Well if you're still stuck later hit up the thread and we can try hints rather then full on solutions if you want.

Yeah, still stuck. I've used the lockpick to open the door to the the security plant or whatever it is & hid while the cops in the hovercar look for me. They've gone up a ladder & left their hover car but no idea what to do.
Also still can't get Todd's door open with the chain.
Already tried interacting with the hover car, all he says is "i wont touch anything without wheels" lol 😁For the towerFor todds, check out the hitboxes on the hovercar.opening the door won't help you get into the junkyard, but doing something else with it may help.
Maybe I'm mistaken - it's been probably 10 years since I've played through this - but didn't this used to play an instrumental version of "Born Bad" during the motorcycle combat segments? (Edit: I guess it was maybe only playing on the main highway.)
I have fond memories of that Gone Jackals album Bone to Pick. My parents surprised me with it by sneaking it into my equipment bag so I'd find it after hockey practice as a little kid. I listened to the hell out of that CD, and christened a few stereo systems with "We Want Our Brothers Back."

I'm also into the junkyard. Thanks for the hints they were excellent.
The one i remember is Legacy by the Gone Jackals.
Did they change the intro song??
For the Wall Kick near the end of the game; I got it on my 2nd try :V
There is a protruding piece of rock that if you kick at the right time it'll open the door
Man this game really is short
Still...I enjoyed it, I feel like it could've had more but it was a fun romp overall.
They had to cut a third of the game out due to time constraints, I assume because of how long the mine section and the video stuff were taking.
Of course it'd still be the shortest lucasarts P&C game either way.
Elbows too pointy. 6/10 at best.Does this apply to the knees? Potential dealbreaker.
After finishing it, I would rate this as a so so remaster. The art is really questionable in certain places, especially with anything involving 3d renders. There's a lot more cohesion and better understanding of color choices and contrast selection in the original that's seemingly absent in the remaster in many scenes. The audio has also been a mixed bag. A lot of sudden cuts and awkward transitions with background music, audio clipping and some really harsh sound effects (you'll notice a lot of this while going through the old mine road).
I'm still really glad to replay it all over again, I've cleared this game dozens of times.
I agree that the art in general could've been better, but regarding the 3D stuff, there's no way to make a render that would match well with that art style. They got away with it in the original because the resolution was so low the 3D models basically became pixel art, and as said above by jett, the two styles "morphed" together. It's a lot harder to do it in high definition.
Also those audio issues were present in the original. Since they've only remastered the original audio, there's not much they could've done. Personally I think the new mixing and remastering are way better, especially for the voices and those sweet Gone Jackals tracks.
To say that its completely off model is pretty hyperbole, in my opinion. And if its that one scene/screenshot only, i dont think it really matters to the overall game.I know they're stretched, that's internet for you. Every sharp screenshot I could find was like that, but it doesn't change the fact that the "remastered" Ben is completely off model.
I didn't want to grab those frames from a youtube video because then my shots would look blurrier and horrible-er and I was sure that someone would focus on that instead of the art changes... welp.
This thread's official title should change to "Full Throttle: The one-hit wonder" because at the end of the day more than 20 years on, we STILL never got a sequel, and the fact that a third of the game had to be left out is shocking, more so with the case that it is not as if DF were being stretched to their limits when producing this re-master, they only seem to bring out one game a year (correct me if I am wrong)....
What SHOULD have happened is all the parts to this game that remained on the "cutting room floor" should have been added on to this version, as and where possible, when the developers knew that the biggest drawback to the game is it's longevity and the fact that it has next to no replay value...(not as if there are multiple endings in this version) surely it couldn't have taken them a YEAR just to "re-master" to the level that they have done with the game....it's a MASSIVELY missed opportunity I feel that the one time there is a possibility to add MORE to the game they still didn't add anything substantial...it's not as if the original game spanned 6 CD's or anything...One year gives you ample opportunity to really go to town on re-mastering it adding bonus features, content, deleted scenes etc...as well as the usual commentary gameplay..
Anyway rant over....just had to get it off the chest!
Do you have boost mode enabled?PS4 port really isn't great. Crashed a couple times, for one thing, but the jumpy cursor is driving me nuts. When animation is happening, cursor movement is very choppy. The transitions between bike scenes and adventure scenes is also handled somewhat poorly at points.
Still great but these little issues are adding up.
