I didn't want to make a new topic just for this, but this is about game music so it might be cool as an aside. Alright...

Awhile back I heard this big band version of Super Mario Kart music. I can remember if it was just the opening song or if it was a medley of everything. Also, it wasn't part of the Mario & Zelda concert at all, but it sounded like it could have been. Anyone ever heard this before and would know what it's from and where I could find it?

Wow, I love this thread for helping me remember some of these great gaming memories... Just felt like cutting the list short for a second to give an opinion or two. First off, time to profess my love for Startropics... GODLY chiptune themes, especially in #2. The Zoda theme alone deserves so much damn respect for what was pulled off on the NES hardware. Don't believe me? Click the link and you tell me what you think afterwards. (Also Nintendo, a big wtf at no 3rd one yet...) Secondly, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes has such a wonderfully crafted soundtrack. I have a pretty good method of updating the list that automates a lot of the tedious stuff, but it only works if your links are set up like those on the first page. Otherwise, there is too much CTRL+X => CTRL+V and I am probably not going to bother cleaning up any more long lists like this.
