Top 8 teams that have garnered points throughout the GSL May will compete against each other. Nothing is impossible in the world of GSTL. Which team will claim the title of the best SC II team in the world in May?

Teams that will be participating in this exciting GSTL will be: oGs, Prime, MVP, TSL, fOu, ZeNEX, ST and SlayerS. Ro8 through Ro4 will be Bo7 and the final will be Bo9.

GSTL May will be held from May 16th to May 19th, 2011.

To refresh on the formula used to qualify a team for GSTL:

The method they use to choose teams is as follows:
Total Points = (1.6x + 1y) where
x = number of players in Code S
y = number of players in Code A

oGs : 13.8 (8+1)
TSL : 10.0 (5+2)
Prime : 9.0 (5.1)
StarTale : 8.8 (3+4)
SlayerS : 8.6 (1+7)
MVP : 7.6 (1+6)
ZeNEX : 6.2 (2+3)
fOu : 5.6 (1+4)
IM : 5.2 (2+2)
NS호서 : 3.6 (1+2)
Liquid : 3.2 (2+0)
FOX : 1.6 (1+0)

Points are calculated at the beginning of the season. Sucks, but hopefully they'll either tweak the points calculation/qualifying rules to avoid another IM situation, or IM will just start recruiting players that qualify without a team (or get fuckin Seed/Younghwa to qualify!!).

It's a shame that the winner of GSTL 1 and the runner-up of GSTL 2 isn't going to be in GSTL 3, but it's up to IM to get more players into Code A and prevent their top stars from dropping down to Code A.
