14 o'clock it is....Smack inbetween FP3 and Qualy 8) ...15 cest so 14 uk time
From just watching the attract mode i can tell you ingame looks 60fps solid....replays have some drops...I hope at least one of the guys over at Digital Foundry got in so we can see some performance analysis.
Watching this on my Pro on my 1080p display...There's no way this is NOT a SS image....i just don't see a basic 1080p image....
What about it replays- 60fps on Pro?
Huh. I had to check and I had no idea Pocono was a 2.5mi track! This speedway at 2mi feels just about perfect, though. Since the half-mile oval used in past weeks was a complete disaster to try to race on with 15+ other people I'm interested in how this'll work out.The new oval looks interesting, smaller Pocono, but I really like the new Dragon Trail track from watching the videos, layout looks really fun.
Invites are individualized per PSN account and by region, so I'm not sure anyone knows if it's even possible. Since it's open to EU serves this weekend I'm hoping this means another batch of invites go out soon for broader load testing soon.Hmm, didn't get a code... Is there a code begging thread?
Because the whole thing is a goddamn clusterfuck. Why does today's EU schedule not mention when the races are ending?
Are the UK beta codes announced via email?
It screams GT3-era track/environment design.Dragon Trail feels like a GT1-3 era fantasy track.
With a bit of a Costa di Amalfi feel too. I'm enjoying, tho feel it will be better suited to GR4 and up.It screams GT3-era track/environment design.
If it's at all like the current system elsewhere, there are 3 races on each track each day, with one for each car class. The first is at the starting time, followed by another at :20 and :40 past the hour. Entry begins 15min before start and you can qualify during that time if you haven't already. So, if you wanted to play a "full" night of the beta, you'd be in 9 races over 3 hours. The current race length + loading + warmup takes ~12min so you get a short break between. The official stated reason for the beta is load testing, so just join what you can when you can. All the matchmaking is automatic to create full grids of people at your same driver skill grade and sportsmanship rating and has been extremely smooth lately. Why does today's EU schedule not mention when the races are ending? Will it be 20:00 CEST just like the next weekends?

I'd check your forums for start times. On the weekends there should be 18 total races over 6 hours, in the same format as above, again assuming it's using the same general format.

Edit: Wanted to mention that you can set qualifying times up to 24 hours early, and you can do it at any time. A network connection is still required of course, but this is open to do at your own convenience. It's good practice! The tracks for each car class change every 1-2 days so there's always something new to test out. Considering we're only working with 6(?) tracks so far, it's a lot of variety for what's a limited beta.
Only for people who don't know how to read.
First line is when servers open today, enabling qualifying for the race events. It's not when the racing begins.
Today is weekend, so race hours are 17-20 CEST.
I mean, the schedule is precise. Not what I'd call a clusterfuck...
I said I think the whole thing is a clusterfuck, and it was said half in jest so don't worry. Having said that, I know somebody who signed up for the beta yesterday and got an invitation within minutes, whereas a lot of people who signed up several weeks ago as soon as it was announced are still shit out of luck, myself included. Then there's the removal of arcade mode before anyone in Europe can even try it, and then there's the reportedly awful netcode...
Ah, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm fully expecting my gifted code to not give me access when the servers go live in twenty minutes though, even though the beta is downloaded and menus all work. It'll probably also mean I never get a code actually tied to my account.
It's all very exciting nevertheless..!
Actually, I'll post out in detail how each race works, because it can be a little overwhelming at first. I see no harm in helping others get to their races.

Generally matchmaking has been smooth with grouped rating drivers, full grids and with minimal disconnects. Don't worry about your finish at first, and complete clean races so you can boost your SR away from the most dangerous players as quickly as possible. The best way to improve your race result is by qualifying time and not actual overtaking on track. Qualify qualify qualify! Try different cars, too, once you get them! Completing the daily distance objective scores you a random car of a random class.
- 24 hours prior to event: Qualifying is available. Select the race you wish to qualify for from the "sport" menu. Currently only 3 events are open at any given time, with one for each car classification available.
- 15 minutes prior to event: Race entries open. Qualifying is also permitted during this time. You do not need to race in the car you qualified in (this is either a limitation or a bug).
- Start time: Matchmaking begins. Anyone currently qualifying will be stopped and put to a load screen for this. You'll be grouped with people of your skill grade and sportsmanship rating.
- After matchmaking: Grids are formed by qualifying time. The fields seem relatively random and there will be a wide spread of times represented. Anyone not setting a qualifying time will start at the back.
- After loading: Warmup session of 2 minutes, starting from the pit lane, or a final chance to adjust settings. The main race will load after the clock expires.
- Race: The race. The final results screen will show everyone's change in SR (typically +1 for messy but minimal contact, +2 a clean race with minimal fuss and rarely +3 for a 100% completely perfect race)
- After race: Return to the "sport" menu, with option to immediate register for next race, or qualify for other 2 available. Your driver grade and SR may be checked on the main menu down in the lower-right corner. There's a progress bar on the grade... I'm uncertain if this only goes up or goes both up and down depending on if you have terrible races after great ones. Your SR is far more important, regardless. Even if you're slow, you and every other slower driver want clean, fun races too.
So, are EU servers up now?
Any EU access yet? In-game Sport menu still says nothing is available, 14:05.
So, are EU servers up now?
Servers not open yet?, can't see anything on my game.
Up now
Kaz is wearing his trollface and sniggering into his cup noodles right now.
Asking again, does the T100 wheel work with this?
Very early impressions :
Fanatec CSR Elite works great with the CronusMAX. FFB is odd, needs dialling in. Wish I could adjust brake pressure.
In game driving graphics are.. Ok. Kind of what I expected. Not mind blowing. Honestly prefer Beast Mode pCARS.
Cockpits are too dark.
Handling seems GT.
Driving audio is weak, one dimensional and insipid. Still way behind the curve.
I just won a gr3 Jag F-type, so happy with that. Edit: which I can only use on the oval SMH.
Ovals... Why?
Code gifting obviously works.
I unlocked a Corvette C7 from my marathon today. Is it random or it's the same for everyone?
