So just started out and wondering is there a way to gauge how hard a quest will be in game before attempting it? What are recommended rank/lvls for even attempting hard?

What I got (after some re-rolls)
-Izmir (Summer) [Water]
-Melleau [Earth]
-Arriet [Wind]
-Yuisis [Wind]
-Albert [Light]

-Katalina (story)
-Rackam (story)

-Walder (story)
-Lunalu (standard) [Dark]
-Lowain (summer) [Dark]
-Jasmine [Earth]
-Norcel [Earth]

Only other notable is Oceanus summon which means my water team is the strongest right now???

Just chipping away at the story right now while I get my bearing and try to click through all the tabs to see whats available.

There's usually a recommended power level right next to the quest that goes from 13+. You'll find your power level on the home screen right next to your comprehensive attack, so take that as a guideline.

Strength is determined by your grid.

Get to chp 30 so you can host and tap the various omega raids and start collecting ssr weapons and in game summons.

Characters are important, but having a weapon gird is what really ends up making your team. You have some good wind characters, so speccing in Wind is a good start. Do you have access to the casino yet? There is a SSR wind Summon, Anat, that will provide an 80% boost to your wind attack there that can be bought with Casino chips, which you win playing poker. I would start hitting the poker tables, and build your way towards that.

Otherwise, just keep hitting the story till you finish chapter 30- that will let you host Tiamat Omega raids, where even if you aren't doing any real damage to it, you will get a Red treasure chest as the host. You are looking for the SSR items she drops- they will be the bread and butter of your weapon grid.

Guys, I need an advice for my WATER team setup and else. Please help. ;w;

PS. I've been playing this game for 2 months now.

Just started playing yesterday and its pretty enjoyable. Got through CH 4 and unlocked Crews. I have no idea what this is or how to use it. What is it used for and are there any GAF ones I can join?

Not hard, but Id be careful joining at this time since people retreat if they dont get full 6 man in five minutes. Also easy if you have someone who can do the 60second para after 50%

Thank you, I'll try to join a few ones soon then. I can't parabot, so I guess I'm doing it the hard way unless I luck out.

You either don't play much or are doing it wrong. Can you join Omega raids already? If so, take advantage of magfest and wanpan* Leviathan. Try to max renown weekly.

*Wanpan: Join a raid and attack once, then let the rest of the players kill it. Bad renown returns early on as your single attack won't net you many honors, but it's faster. It's better if you join with a 2SR + 1R party, since you can get more renown.

As for your party, It's tanky as hell. I'd either ditch Charlotta for now (and start using her once you get her 5th start -which won't happen anytime soon, but DO level her) or Yngwie. Izmir is pretty fragile but is an attack character - definitely use both Izmir and Yngwie vs fire enemies.
Also, don't use Leviathan as your main summon yet, in case your are.

In fact, all the above is pointless since you'd better just use The Grand Order for now. There's practically no point in using a water-only comp with those weapons, if you have grand order. What you should do though, is only use 3 different elements in your TGO party (for example: Water MC, Katalina, Sara and Rosetta), so that you can pick a water summon (not Levi or Varuna) if you can't find a support TGO to borrow and still boost half of your party. Don't need to stick to water either. Could use 2 wind characters, one earth and one light, etc. Using a weapon that makes the main character have elemental advantage is your best bet (as it will make landing debuffs easier), specially once you start using dark fencer in solo quests.

At that point though, it would be arguable if you'd do better with double elemental summon, but you don't seem to have a strong water (elemental) summon like Cocytus, Macula Marius, Europa and so on (the ones that actually say water atk up, instead of water allies' attack up), so until you do, I really recommend you use TGO and a mixed team.

The whole point of this post is that you don't seem to have any (useful*) water omega weapons (SSR or SR), so you are missing their boosts and would do better using stat sticks. To solve this, farm Leviathan Omega and Leviathan Hard until you do!

*Omega weapons, like any other, are only useful if they have an attack multiplier (sills like attack up, enmity, etc). Otherwise they are either niche or useless.

Renown Maxing is the one thing I really should be doing but I just don't do. I only do Ygg/Lev Hard raids each day, because I desperatly need their anima (have 100+ of the other Animas from Casino).

Get a ton of leviathan omega daggers, also, you need to be maxing out your pendents each week because you can buy two daggers a month too.

Thank you so much guys. I really appreciate it.

And yes, I was stop playing for a few weeks before the latest LegFest arrived. :'(

OH BOY!

Today's free pull got me a gold moon (Altair) and Satyr. Best pull yet. Can actually max Altair's weapon now with all the dupes.

Yesterday, after a year and a half, I finally did enough casino to fully uncap Anat. I guess my wind grid wasn't as developed as I thought, as switching my main summon from Tiamat to Anat still bumped up my expected attack by like 3000 against earth. I'm surprised, I have 5 guns and a fist, with 3 guns at SL 6, one at SL 7, and one at SL 10. The fist is SL 5 too.

Well, I did it. I managed to resist sparking for Zooey, in the hopes that we get a Summer LegFes at the end of the month where I can pull for ALL of the summer characters, have the increased summon rates, as well as spark for Zooey at the end (should I fail to get her in my 300 pulls).

Of course, now that I did this, I know we won't get a Summer LegFes and, even if we did, Zooey probably won't be available to spark meaning I'll have to wait until next summer to get her. Welp.

Consider doing hard raids anyway. They drop:

-SR skill fodder.
-Whorls and tomes.
-4th weapon uncap materials.
-Silver anima (need 100 matching silver anima per GW character).

If you think of it this way, you not only are getting renown, but useful materials too - hard raids are really efficient given their ap cost.

No I meant real early. I'm rank 20 now and been dumping EP into the poacher raid. Didn't notice that it just caps out at 99. Ops.

It depends:

As much as I said you should not use a water-only team for now, that's only beause TGO will make things easier for you. As soon as you get some SSR omega daggers you will be able to play a water comp just fine.

That said, you could probably use Altair or Silva (I don't have Silva, so I'll focus on Altair).
Altair is the cornerstone of many water teams for a reason: He does pretty much anything a support could do - the only things he's missing are multi-attack or echo buffs.

The characters you have are pretty solid, but I'd rarely use them together. Having both Charlotta AND Yngwie makes for a far too tanky comp, and pairing Altair with Yngwie helps him sustain or recharge faster his ougi bar. Alternatively, pairing Altair with Charlotta helps stack defense down, which is pretty important.

I'm not sure about Izmir, since I only have her summer version, but you get the gist of it - Altair complements most water characters.

On top of that, both Altair and Silva would be good on a TGO party. If you want to keep Katalina for her veil/regen you can just change MC's element so that you have (for example) Fire MC, Katalina, Silva, Earth Character.

Any of those two characters will shine once you get a water grid going, but suptix is not going to be waiting until then, so it's up to you, really - wether you suptix them now or later, it makes no difference.

Well could finally upgrade SR Vane to SSR Vane. Running out of characters to pick. I guess I could get two of the wind characters next, otherwise I dont see anyone else Id get. I guess percy is a future possibility.

Since it seems you need help, I would pick Yoda, he is one good attacker (that you lack) but more important, you will one shot every normal and hard boss (except celeste, he will 2 shot her), breeze thru events, and get to the minimun contribution on magna raids, etc...Yoda is the ultimate babysitter and will speed your develop a TON, capping weekly pendants is so improtant, I had Yoda when I started and he was my MVP from rank 1 to 70-80. I still use him on my water team. Yeah you will need Altair but you can always pick him in the future.

Also Yoda does a thing not a lot of people appreciate, it saves time, strike time 1 turn kills makes you solo all your hard raids in like 10 minutes, instead of struggling to kill 1 in that same amount of time.

ayup, since he's in early game still this is a great choice.

SSR Yoda is a waste and overrated, a strong grid can let you destroy hard raids in seconds during strike time.. Yoda has no use once he has no stacks.

Im rec. it to a guy that has no grid and obv will have a lot of problems to get to min contribution on magnas or clear hards, Yoda is the best SSR in the game in that situation only for the qol he offers.

Both good choices. Altair is a wonderbuffer, Silva will evaporate most fire bosses, especially useful for Xeno Ifrit since you need to kill EX/NM70 fast for drops.

Thank you so much guys, I really appreciate your help. :))

Gonna be using my SupTix today...

Candidates:

Dirt (Most developed)
-Dirt La Fille (Casino chips!)
-Sara (would replace Razia in my lineup, but has the disadvantage of being a Human for Tez)

Water
-Altiar (would go perfectly with Silva and SSR Kat)

Light
-Jeannine (would go perfectly with Lucio and Juliet)

Any thoughts?

need to post your dirt for us to judge.

Altair and Jeanne are good choices in that they're five star and thus gives your more time to raise them up now.

I think your earth is already strong tbh. You already have 2 strong buffers, heal and the best earth attacker. You are served.

Since you will be farming levi with you earth I would pick altair to start working on your water.

Yeah, thats probably what I'm going to do.

Man, those Daggers are ghost rares though. I only have 2, and have had like 15 of the other ones drop (used as skill fodder for my Earth grid lol)

Yeah, your dirt's definitely really strong.

I'd almost want to suggest going light over water, as while water strong its carried by varuna and its op gw 5* characters. The problem with light is that there's no easy choice like altair is. You could go Jeanne or Ferry for light.

Hey guys I'm down to needing 73 silver yggydrasil anima and 10 brown dragon scales before I can do upgrades 2-6 all in one go and unlock Sarasa. If anyone here would be willing to let me pop into their normal/hard yggy and TH for a chance at the silver animas I'd appreciate it. Trying to get this done before gw.

My discord is shinypogs#7544 is you wanna help or work out a trade or something.

I love her. water dmg up and fire atk down on the enemy. 16 missles. then instant recast them all again. What's that mean? quick burst damage (balanced by the long long long missle cast time) so I use it on weak groups to wipe a stage. I use missles on a single target to hit them 16 times. then recast them both. and she's a strong attacker or a strong defender based on what slot she's in.

for any SSR you can use this to find out about the internet's opinion them: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...SlJBpFCqCcYnZmvy1d0mIQsriw/edit#gid=350299371
