What kind of numbers did Bloodborne do?

That visor effect could get annoying.
I hope its gone from multiplayer. Maybe reduced in singleplayer

I just checked out halo 4. I never noticed it before. Although not the end of world, I still don't like losing screen space. I don't remember it in the beta, so as long as it stays out of multiplayer, its sort of bearable..

Pretty much.
It's not in MP.
I don't remember, I didn't even see it on NPD on the second month
Fans: We want huge awesome, unscripted environments with big encounters and more moments like "The Ark" and "The Covenant" from Halo 3...
343: Okay, here's this entirely heavily scripted, linear, straight corridor level design scenario.
wut.
I'm kinda at a loss for words.
Just got back from E3 and the Warzone game type was interesting in a good new way. But holy shit that Hololens. I can't even describe how incredible that experience was before Halo 5. I'm pretty blind and couldn't do a few VR experiences but Hololens worked perfectly. I never thought Hololens would ever interest me or even be remotely cool but wow it just changed my mind immediately when the objective marker came up.
There was a thing waaaaay bigger than a scarab stamping destructible buildings in the "fluttercut" after the demo. And you get to fight it.They should have done a Scarab-esque scene to show the return to Sandbox instead of this 4 player co-op focus.
Either way this looks great. Will likely get this day 1.
Yeah, there was no helmet in the hud during the beta. it will follow suite.
here is a clip of me in the beta:

I don't remember seeing it like that in MP. I think it's like Halo 3 or Halo 4 where it's more pronounced in campaign for immersion. Remember we only saw Locke's visor PoV and he has a smaller visor than Chief, whilst also having the Artemis tracking system. Doesn't seem too bad.
What kills me is the ADS. Just watch as Locke picks up the plasma caster and then aims down sights on it. Looks ridiculous.

If I remember correctly Gaf ranked The Order above Halo 5 on that list of most anticipated games for 2015. I think that tells you everything you need to know about how representative Gaf is for the wider gaming market. Gaf is great because it has some really amazing members who care deeply about gaming, but if you only paid attention to this forum you'd be convinced that Shenmue 3 would outsell Madden. The PS4 subreddit's top post in the post E3 discussion thread was 'Microsoft won", but here on Gaf people are losing their minds because of the "holy trinity". Different groups value different games, so I don't think a lack of enthusiasm for Halo on this forum tells us anything except there's a lack of enthusiasm for Halo on this incredibly niche, ultra-hardcore, Japanese enamored gaming forum. We'll have to wait and see how Halo 5 sells before we can say anything more.
Are we going to get a beta of Warzone? A man can dream. I miss the Halo 5 beta, haven't played another shooter since.
I saw some tweets that campaign co-op now runs on dedicated servers, but can't find any sources. Anyone else hear this?

Nope, summer till launch will be full on ship, polish, optimize mode. We'll be doing closed betas and hidden scale tests, and don't forget you were testing some underlying Warzone (technical) systems in Beta play. So it will be thoroughly tested, just not by the general public.
I still find it amazing the ADS bothers you so much.
Everything runs on dedicated servers. Campaign co-op, Warzone, Customs, Matchmaking.
And he has the front to call me out because I moan about server selection.. What's that word that begins with h again??

What exactly is the Halo 5 Hololens experience? Is it just a short demo using Halo graphical elements? Is it something you'll be playing the full game with? I'm very curious to know if this is just another gimmicky thing or if it's going to have some actual real-world use. If it's something like putting up the HUD elements on the Hololens while you play on a HUD-less TV screen, that would be pretty cool and immersive.

One change this year is Nintendo fans didn't really think Nintendo won this year, as they usually do. Never seen it so subdued.
Lol Nice clip by the way... Man I miss the beta.
Wasn't it confirmed after the beta that it would be possible to choose server location? Barring the fact that it might take longer. Please say that we can choose to play local!! Please.
^^^ lol

Skill based matchmaking as opposed to letting people choose where they matchmake will mean that I will skip this. When are devs going to get it in their thick fucking skulls, that skill based matchmaking is null and void if half the people in a game are playing on servers on the other side of the hemisphere/world.
It's beyond belief.
Destiny. I wasn't going to get it after the beta. But I let my mates talk me into it.
Never forget the halo MCC though. That is a disaster of biblical proportions. Whats worse are the fucking lies they told/tell. Especially certain people.... "The game does have dedicated servers, but occasionally fallback to p2p" Absolute fucking bullshit
Yeah, we worked with the HoloLens team on this, and I guess I just got used to it over the weeks leading up to the show, but even though you see really cool stuff all the way through, the first time the waypoint marker lights up - and basically all you've done is put it on your head and tightened a wheel, the effect is almost magical. You're like BAM WHOA I GET IT and then you can go to the "briefing" and just experiment with tilting your head, occluding the image, ducking down, leaning in and so on.
And it's social - you're aware of the other participants as real people.

The Halo 5 Hololens thing was just a fun little thing they setup for E3, it's not something that's coming out or will ever be available. It had nothing to do with the actual playing of the game, it was a pre-game briefing thing that you attended wearing a Hololens. You got to experience what it'd be like to have a Spartan helmet'ish thing on.
Hopefully you can clarify this. So Hololens IS capable of occluding? Like you can put your hand in front of the projected image and still see your hand and you can do this in the Halo 5 demo?Yeah, we worked with the HoloLens team on this, and I guess I just got used to it over the weeks leading up to the show, but even though you see really cool stuff all the way through, the first time the waypoint marker lights up - and basically all you've done is put it on your head and tightened a wheel, the effect is almost magical. Fighting Guardians Confirmed. Taking down it's wings first, not confirmed but assumed. >=D.

No, this was a Covenant machine...a new one.
