I really don't see how
Just because it has a cute artstyle means it shouldn't be on other platforms outside of handhelds? Doesn't make sense, this game looks like a game my nieces would love to play on the TVThis looks like a game that should be on 3DS or Vita, not a platform with an extremely limited family audience in Japan. But it's ASW and Toybox. Game probably has a $10 budget.

In Japan you have a point but worldwide it's the best choice. It has an audience and family audience worldwide.

The last Wada game I played was Hometown Story, so my expectations are not high. That being said, I'm always down for something really different to play, so I'll try and remember to follow the news on this one.
ETA: This one sounds kinda Viva Piñata in concept, which I am a big fan of that type of game.
agreed. Hometown story was not good..After Hometown Story, I'm less excited about new things from Wada.
Scans make it look like Dragon Quest Builders combined with the Mario Kart track Dino Dino Jungle, so I'm sold.
DINOSAURS!!!!!!
Go back further and u get this :0
This will never leave Japan, will it?

This reminds me of the early 32bit era when Japan still dared to experiment with quirky ideas. Love what I see.

This game has only been announced for release in Japan. Given the histories of both ASW and Toybox, Birthdays will either be released by a tiny publisher in the west or as a digital-only release with 0 advertising.
Well looks like platform choice makes a lot more sense now
Yay. I want it.Also, western release confirmed. Coming to NA/EU from NIS America
