What are the causes of carpal tunnel syndrome?

Carpal tunnel syndrome is often the result of a combination of factors that increase pressure on the median nerve and tendons in the carpal tunnel, rather than a problem with the nerve itself. Most likely the disorder is due to a congenital predisposition - the carpal tunnel is simply smaller in some people than in others. Other contributing factors include trauma or injury to the wrist that cause swelling, such as sprain or fracture; overactivity of the pituitary gland; hypothyroidism; rheumatoid arthritis; mechanical problems in the wrist joint; work stress; repeated use of vibrating hand tools; fluid retention during pregnancy or menopause; or the development of a cyst or tumor in the canal. Until you decide if and how you are going to do the different routes, you should do act 1 as if you were going for the Kenji ending. That way if you decide you don't want to do any of the routes or want to stop for any other reason you'll have a nice neat ending and there's more than enough material in that ending to make a funny comic from.

I think we can safely say that we looked at a lot of things, and while we are in a process of narrowing it down, the only things we really rejected full-out are disorders and disabilities that make the character unfit to consent or completely impossible to be in a relationship with.

Assuming this actually turns into a real thing, I wonder how they will handle the protagonist?
If the whole game is seen from your character's perspective like Katawa Shoujo it would be interesting to see what mental disorder they give him and how they show that in first person.

Maybe he'll have a seizure and be constantly on the lookout for doing things that stimulate him too much, and could incite another seizure.
