If you get them often, you should try seeing a neurologist. I waited until I was getting daily migraines (yeah, that sucked), and the neurologist gave me a prescription for amitriptyline which basically stopped all my migraines cold.
Daily migraines to no migraines. I still get headaches, but I can treat them with advil. I feel reborn. And I can't believe I went twenty-one years with untreated migraines and just muscled through them when I could have been getting rid of them.

We mainly just chatted about how he just moved to the area and was thinking of changing his specific major. Also some talk about getting used to adulthood. It was a nice, down to earth conversation and he was interested in speaking with me again later today.

Yea, I had about two drinks and I was like, okay I'm done.
They've only started recently and aren't too frequent. They (usually) go away when I turn all the lights off and sit in the dark for about an hour. Most of the time I fall asleep since I get bored in the dark by myself. I'd go to a neurologist and lots of other specialists if I could afford it. I have a few health issues that I'd like to get checked out, but alas I am a poor American with shitty healthcare.

Yeah, if they're recent and easily fixed, you might consider waiting until a neurologist visit wouldn't be a hardship. Though the medication itself is quite cheap ($12 for 30 pills uninsured, $2 with insurance).
If you want an OTC recommendation, Excedrin works amazingly well on minor migraines.

Ugh. I'm heading back to school on Friday, and one of my roommates (who is also my best friend) is kind of trying to hook me up with one of her other friends. She's been telling him all about me and trying to build me up to sound like a good potential partner, and he's interested, but I'm totally not. I was down to have another gay friend, especially since he enjoys gaming, but I feel like it's just going to be awkward now that we are going to meet under these pretenses.

She told me a couple months ago that her friend had just moved to the city where we go to school, and that she'll be "so happy if we meet and fall in love" - to which I laughed, but then told her that I'm not interested. Then throughout the summer she was occasionally trying to sell me on the guy, but I'd always respond with disinterest. I'm trying not to be too harsh, because she's good friends with this guy and I haven't even met him yet, but I know based on his FB that there's absolutely no way we'd work together - I'm not even sure if I'll be able to be friends with him. (but I'll try)
She has tried to hook me up with guys before, but she'd always leave it alone after I said I wasn't interested. I know she's just trying to help, because she's a big romantic and thinks that I'd be happier with someone, but idk.

We chatted again last night. He mentioned being a little insecure over his English ability (he emigrated from China). I actually didn't realize he wasn't fluent until he brought it up. He seemed really happy that I didn't mind the language barrier and I talked to him a bit about how my mother came to America from Haiti when she was in her 20's. We also recommended some books and movies to each other. He's seems really sweet and I hope we can learn a lot from each other.
