That ending...

Hastings is the real big bad?!

I guess we will be kept second guessing that until the show finale. We need to get a mole into the mob as well, I am hoping for some tense Infernal Affairs like scenes.

One Arm Roz was pretty great, she would have been a better AC 12 officer than any of them. I'm sad that we didn't get a reaction shot of Jodie learning that her brown nosing didn't get her anywhere. Only the bit with Jamie stretches credulity a bit, I didn't honk he was that dumb; I guess we won't know what Hilton had on Maneet? Was hoping Arnet's ex would do a bit more as well and Jimmy Lakewell didn't even fight it. I guess we ran out of time, oh well. There is plenty of set up for future season(s) though, wondering what big actor they can bring in for this next.

Bit of foreshadowing?

Well he did headshot a Balaclava man, rather shooting to wound to take him into custody and find out who orders the Balaclava men around.

In fairness if he had only wounded him then the guy could have taken a shot at the hostage no?

I do think next season will be about him though, with the whole 'take the photo down' plus their reaction. Plus the lift shot at the end.

Remind me again why the dead forensics man had a balaclava man disguise handy?

He wore the balaclava and purchased the saw etc to make it look like Roz was killed by BC when he thought he had killed her by mistake

I'm not sure if he already owned the balaclava, but if he did, I guess there could by any number of reasons he had one

And yeah I guess he could be one of the balaclava men too

It looks like series 5 won't be coming for a while, as Mercrio is currently working on a new drama series for BBC
BBC One has commissioned a brand new six-part drama series from the team behind critically-acclaimed drama series Line Of Duty.

Created and written by Jed Mercurio and produced by World Productions, Bodyguard is a contemporary thriller featuring the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch (RaSP) of London's Metropolitan Police Service. Set in and around the corridors of power, this original drama tells a fictional story following a team of RaSP officers whose duties involve protecting royals, politicians and diplomats. The team is led by a Specialist Protection Officer, the Bodyguard of the title, a heroic but volatile Gulf War veteran expected to lay down his life for the powerful - whether they deserve it or not.

while we be shown later this year/next year

sounds like it might be pretty awesome too

Anyone seen Bodies btw? Was Mercurio's previous work before LoD, very good stuff

I was mainly playing devils advocate with how Ted could look suspicious, as it was pretty much a shoot first approach with balaclava man, in comparison with Jamie they spent ages getting him to put down his gun, also as Jamie was trapped upstairs in a room full of coppers there wasn't really a need to rush that much.

i suppose if you shoot someone in the arm or leg etc there would be a moment of shock for balaclava man ( well i imagine thats how it would be being shot) which would allow a trained police officer who balaclava man was holding hostage to turn the tables and disarm balaclava man
